My darkroom hasn't been used for years now. I need the space, and am willing to give it away. Anyone have some ideas how to find a user who would take it away, gratis. It is complete with sink, enlarger, easel, etc. Los Angeles area.
For only $100 bucks more you can get the 18-55m lens for the A6000, and it is quite good. Its IQ surprised me.
I have tons of negatives still in my darkroom which hasn't been used for several years. An Epson 600 scan a negative well enough for me to reprint on my computer and get an image as good as my original darkroom print?
Anybody have any experience using the 35 mm f1.8 on a Sony a 6300? I've been trying to find a store that has one to test it out, but they're all out of stock. Is it so good that they can't keep it in stock or is it that tkey can't they sell them so won't stock them? Just wondering what your experiences with that lens might be.
I understand that, nevertheless, there is a focal length in the Sony that would capture that same image from the same distance. I just wonder what focal length that would be.
I took a photo with my Lumix lx100. Great detail in the image.
Light room indicates it was shot at 19.9 mm focal length. I'm curious as to what focal length that might be equivalent to on my Sony a6000. Any one have any idea?
Thanks
Thanks Big-Guy, I think I'll do exactly as you say. I use LR and ps and i'll skip silky.
I've been converting my raw images to DNG using Adobe DNG Converter. I know that Silkypix will do the job for my Panasonic LX100, but I also know that Silkypix does more than that. BUT, I'm hesitant to add more software to my repertoire.
Are there advantages to Silkypix?
Where would you go to sell used equimpment, lenses, camera bodies, etc and get the best deal? Retailer, B&H, Craig's List, ???
Try ScanCafe. They return you a file of your images and you can select the ones to keep and the ones to delete. Having done that they send you a file of the ones you wanted. You pay only for those you keep.
I got a Panasonic Lumix LX 100, and haven't used my Canon DSLR since. The IQ is great, 1.7 - 2.8 gives excellent, low light performance. It's a 4/3 sensor bigger than most compacts. I was surprised at the quality of images at ISO as high as 1600. In fact I'm now setting my aperture and shutter speed and shooting with ISO automatic because I'm not longer shunning away from a high ISO.
TomC, thanks. I looked up 123INKJETS and they are about 1/3 the cost of what I'm paying now. I will try them. IvanL
The cost of an ink cartridge on my R2400 is not $19, but much cheaper from a 3rd party. But I'm afraid of damaging my printer. Has anyone used 3rd party ink cartridges and would they please share their experience?
I too have a SX 100 and discovered that Lightroom could's use my RAW files. So I downloaded AdobeDNGConverter, free software. It works beautifully. Both LR and PS read the converted DNG just fine.
