Great post as I'm sure a lot of us are in the same situation !!! I mounted a Wimberly sidekick gimble head to my tri-pod. It didn't add much weight but took all the weight of my 5D M4 with 1.4 x or 2 x converter, and my 100-400L 11 lens. This only works if your able to back-up to where you want to shoot as I can most of the time. I like to shoot birds at the shore.
Ok, Thanks for letting me know!
If still available let me know.
I also have a usb charger for these batteries for the car, so I just ordered a .5 amp power supply to try to turn it into a trickle charger by limiting the input amperage.
The oldest battery I have is @ 4 years old and is the one that charges to 100%. Go figure!
Thanks, I have a volt meter and will check it out. Thanks
Thanks, I'll give that a shot.
They are canon batteries, they are a mix of older LP-E6 and LP-E6N 2 of each. I'm getting no ware near 900 shots out of any of them. Maybe 200-350 shots out of each about 1/2 day..
Thanks
Tom
Hi, when I charge my batteries in the canon charger for my 5D m4, the charger says the batteries are charged, When I put them in my camera the battery info says the charge is between 67% to 91% depending on the battery. The camera says the recharge capability is either 2-3 bars depending on the battery. Is this normal?
Thanks
Tom
Kevin:
I was using the Miops splash unit to time my drops. Camera was my Canon 5D M4, canon 100mm 2.8 macro lens and I used 2 speed lights for the lighting. As for the red color on the shot with the blue back ground I used a dark red LED puck light under the clear water basin. On the ones with the green back ground I used red food coloring and a light red gell cover on one of the speed lights. Hope this helps.

Passing the time during this interesting winter.
Hi, I was out shooting with my 80D and EF 100-400 11 lens yesterday, and was approached by another photographer. He asked me why I was using EF lens on a crop sensor camera instead of EF-s lens. I told him I usually use my 5D M4 but that was setup for another project now. He said you shouldn't use that lens on that camera, but couldn't explain why, he just the person at the camera shop told him that. I've never herd that before and my pic's come out awesome " IMO " with that combo. Has anyone else been told this??? Is there any truth to this??
Thanks
Tom
