Work has been getting in the way of me going out and having some fun. But I did go out the other night and got lucky with the storm. And some strange clouds in the morning.
I went out the last two nights, it's nice to live close to the beach. I just wait for the storms blow over or get out there before they blow in.
Finally got a little time to go over some photos, of my short trip to NY
Just got back home late last night, I had the pleasure of meeting one of our members (Hershel) what a good man to take a few minutes out of his busy day to talk to me. B&H is filled with friendly people and the knowledge and care that they give everyone that walks in the door was overwhelming. Thank you so much Hershel
Sorry this just cell phone pic. I will post more this weekend.

How many raindrops are in a bucket of water?? There are a ton of things to see and shoot. Find your way to Brooklyn Heights. Walk down Monique St and get on the Promenade. The views straight across and left and right are worth the trip. Night time is fantastic.
Columbia is class A institution in a much less class A neighborhood.......

St John the Divine, is not far from Columbia. You can wonder around the main floor. It is among the largest cathedrals in the world.
They have vertical tours, that take you up to the roof. The gardens there are also beautiful and they have resident peacocks that roam the grounds. I posted links to my images from 2014 & 2010. Definitely worth a trip, regardless of your religion. It is beautiful & peaceful place to visit.
They do allow tripods as long as there are rubber tips on the bottom.

Thank you, for all your info.
Staying at Columbia university, staying for 5 days, looking for great spots for photography, never been to NY. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you
I have been there many times, the drive is amazing, I would take card sound road, stop at Alabama jacks for conch fritters, then Gilbert's, definitely stop at Robbie to feed the tarpon, just past Bahia Honda SP. On the west side of A1A. Is a small parking lot,you can walk to a great spot for sunset, at the same spot you can walk under A1A for sunrise of the old train bridge. So many photo op everywhere. Enjoy
