As I’m not computer savvy I’d like to ask a question. I’d like to sell some gear on here but not at all sure how to post photographs on the sell/trade page.
Thank you in advance to anyone who can help.
Thank you,
Al

No lens?

Body with battery grip, charger and batteries.
Lens not a part of the sale because the 18-55mm STM kit lens was given to my nephew because he has a Canon DSLR and wanted the upgraded STM lens for his video work as it has silent focusing.
Thanks for looking.

Like new Canon T5i body with battery grip. Low shutter count. Not sure how to find shutter count but it must be under 2,000 as this camera was only used on 3 occasions. Includes four E8 batteries and a Canon battery charger and front cap.
This camera was given to me as a gift by my wife but I continue to enjoy shooting film with my Minolta SRT-101 and X-700.
Will send photos of Canon camera and battery grip if interested.
350.00 or best offer.
Thank you for looking.

You can smoke outside with the loud cameras and talk about how unfair life is ...

I don’t smoke, never did lol
But I think you know where I’m coming from.
One is a health issue, the other isn’t.
Have a Happy and Healthy Christmas and a great New Year!

Imagine a silent world of mirrorless swans. The slap of a mirror will shortly be treated like lighting a cigarette indoors. You and your obnoxious loud camera will be asked to leave.

Let’s hope not. Lately Americans are being told what to do a bit too much. Some of it makes sense but if you read history it always starts out this way.

In 1970 we focused using the screen in the SLR finder. This did give a very slight advantage to the f/1.4 but I would never call f/1.8 “slow”, even in 1970.

Bokeh effected by f-stop too. The f1.2 58mm has creamy out of focus bokeh, while my f1.4 58mm is almost just as fast but the bokeh is not as soft. Those small increments do make a difference optically.

I own a number of 50mm and 55mm prime lenses, both film and digital era. On my APS-C bodies they work like short portrait lenses and are often the sharpest of lenses do to simple symmetrical optical formula. On APS-C 35mm is a normal lens, though not necessarily a wide angle or retro focus design as for film cameras. Yes, most came with camera purchases since 1978.

In the world of APS-C cameras, a 35mm lens is the “nifty fifty”. If you want the 35mm “look” you’ll need a 20mm. I’ve tried it on my 18-55, 18-135 and looked at the 18mm on my 10-18 mm. Not quite the same look. The 18 of course is way off, the 20’s look ok.
Nothing like a 35mm on a film camera body. A roll of Kodachrome would be nice too, but the Ektachrome will have to do.
Nifty fifty? Move over!
Just my opinion😃

“Glass” is right there with “nifty”, “panny”, “oly”, etc. I just cannot take seriously the users of such bogus “in-group” jargon. I’ll usually just quit reading immediately on encountering such drivel.

“Glass” tends to be more offensive than other childish jargon cuz it tends to be involved with parroting of faux wisdom. Example: “Glass first ! Bodies come and go (blah blah blah)”.

“Glass” is a bit esoteric with extra snobbery lol!

If it's the plastic fantastic 50 at f/1.8, yes, it is a nifty 50 too. But, if urban hipsters from Brooklyn are just applying 'nifty' to any ol' 50, including the $1000 all the way to $2200 offerings from Sony, Nikon and Canon, it's really just that their whiskers have grown too far into their brains.

On a slightly different note concerning the 50mm, I ask you this question because I’ve seen your posts over the years that have included a lot of technical knowledge; In reference to what mm the human eye is, the 50mm is often said to be the focal length of the human eye, not in terms of peripheral sight, but in terms of actual view. In other words when you look through a 50mm (not through an APS-C) of course, what you see is what you get. But I find that to be slightly inaccurate. When I look through my old 58mm Rokkor “I see what I get”. Some people say it’s more like a 55mm. Just curious to know what it actually is!
Thank you in advance.

Wish I had some disposable money right now. From your description your lens is priced fairly. For 400.00 you usually see heavily used Tamron 18-400mm lenses. 500.00 is a good price.
Good luck selling it.
