One of our neighbors does photo shoots for aspiring models...does it free. He found a box of about 15 old cameras in a junk shop and paid $10 for the lot (none work and some are rusty!!) He uses them as background props...maybe you can find such a person or donate to a local camera club.
Anytime the word "Park" is involved, there is no "best time" because parks have opening and closing hours...it is simply something we have to contend with...:-(
Reminds me of the "Tail of the Dragon"...318 curves in 11 miles!!! Motorcycle madness!! (Rode it twice!!...both directions!)
Try to get in early and get pics of the cake, the dinner entrees and wines and place settings/tables, DJ or band set up, snacks, etc. Often, these items get caught willy-nilly, so a nice memento section of the photos is a great and later appreciated touch!
When I die, if I have any forewarning, I plan to ingest a whole large bag of popcorn kernels...
My cremation is gonna be EPIC!!!!!
Whop, whop, wopp!! One of the most memorable (and anticipated!!!) sounds of Nam. I still stop and look up when I hear it and remember those many flights in and out of bad juju!
I have used EZ Canvas Prints for a while now....canvas over a frame, no frame visible. Inexpensive and rather unique.
Better than the pre/power amp TUBE days? I have a friend that still has a Preamp and Poweramp, all tube. Now, ya wanna hear vinyl at its finest...there ya go. He runs this huge ass system of his through a pair of Klipsch speakers...the big ones!
Stories of list records are all over the place, but here is the actual loss by category, date, etc.
On July 12, 1973, a disastrous fire at the National Personnel Records Center (NPRC) destroyed approximately 16-18 million Official Military Personnel Files (OMPF). The records affected:
Personnel and Period Affected
Estimated Loss
Army Personnel discharged November 1, 1912 to January 1, 1960 80%
Air Force Personnel discharged September 25, 1947 to January 1, 1964 (with names alphabetically after Hubbard, James E.) 75%

If indeed Nikon may not service the D90 it means they days of disposable DSLRs has arrived!
I would be hesitant to invest any funds in a product that won't be serviced...kinda like buying a Cadillac knowing that in 10 years GM won't change the oil and filters!
I recall doing this "comparison" stuff when I was about four...behind the shed with Jimmy, Ronnie and...Oh yes, Karen.
I don't really know where or why a guy with one camera a three lenses can use any of this, much less would anyone I know have time to whip out calculator and perform all of these formulas just to get a pic of the kiddos in the park or at the zoo....just don't see it. (And it really isn't interesting bar talk!)
I think (may be wrong) but RAW is only in slot 2
Sponsored by Kodak, this annual event is the most photographed event in the world!
On mass ascent days, upwards of 700 balloons are airborne. Albuquerque experiences winds and themals that make a "box" so the craft remain airborne indefinitely. A rally spectacular event!
