Yes it will. Purchased the WR-R10,WR-T10,WR-A10 as complete remote unit for the D7100 and it worked great no problem.Since I have traded the D7100-- for the D500 and use them with no problems Only difference is with the ad500 you have to use the 10 pin adapter WR-A10,which you need not use with the D7100.

Thanks to you both.I am a slow learner.I am just learning about photography and DSLR's.I have a Nikon 7100 wit two lenses both made by Tamron 16-300mm F3.5-6.3 Macro, and 10-24mmF3.5-4.5.My first buy was a D5100 and Tamron 18-270mm lens. Had problem with lens out of the box traded it for the 16 -300mm and the D5100 for the D7100.Wasted a lot of money. That is what I get for going along with salesman recommendations.But now I feel I have a good start.Now I need to learn. Thanks again.

Thanks all for your swift replays. A little about me I am 76 and trying out this photography to keep me out of casinos.my equipment are a noon D7100,two lenses both are Tamron's and suggested by the sales person.One is 18-270mmF3.5-6.3 and the other is SP AF 10-24mm F/3.5-4.5 DiI.I guess can tell I am novice

Like just said I am new to photog so here goes. After doing tons of searches Could some explain to me why the term" Stop" is used when adjusting the aperture or shutter?
