Thanks to you both.I am a slow learner.I am just learning about photography and DSLR's.I have a Nikon 7100 wit two lenses both made by Tamron 16-300mm F3.5-6.3 Macro, and 10-24mmF3.5-4.5.My first buy was a D5100 and Tamron 18-270mm lens. Had problem with lens out of the box traded it for the 16 -300mm and the D5100 for the D7100.Wasted a lot of money. That is what I get for going along with salesman recommendations.But now I feel I have a good start.Now I need to learn. Thanks again.

Welcome to UHH. You will enjoy your D7100. It is a great camera. Look up the settings for shooting the moon in the search feature. Good luck and have fun.

Hi Jerry. You made a good choice this time. It will take you a long time to out grow that setup. But don't forget the filters,tripods,camera bags, and all the other little doodads that will come along that you will want.:):)
