Did you know that 67.5 percent of statistics are totally made up?
Hold on and let's clarify. Steve Perry shows BBF setup to be AF-C. Folks in this discussion reference his videos but say to use AF-S. I've been on AF-C for years, and when I release the BBF (AF-on with D4), it seems to lock just like I want. So, does BBF work with both AF-C and AF-S? If there is a difference, please give a detailed explanation. Thanks!
Yes; I'm in Raleigh NC. See my website to see that I'm legit ChrisWaltPhotography.com
I will buy the two Godox receivers. E mail me at cschonwalder@gmail.com and give me the price. I can do paypal or send a check.
I wonder how many will understand your Schroedinger's Cat analogy.
I can tell we've already been stuck at home too long!
OK. Where is the "insert key"?
Why is it called Blue? Because it "...saw me standing alone..." and wanted to share the emotion!
Thank you all for this discussion of my question. Hyper-sync comes closest to what I was asking about. It uses the "trick" of full power on the strobe to cause the burn to last longer than the shutter is open. To get this, one needs to fire the strobe at full power, which is good because that way the background can be underexposed. And to get the strobe "off the camera axis", set the remote up as a slave and fire your camera strobe in the direction of the slave, also on full power so that the slave sees the flash. Light moves SO fast, doesn't it?
And Pocket Wizards have a hyper sync setting which sends a signal out ahead of normal, but I have not tried this to see if it works. Anyone using PWs this way?
There are a few "Tricks" that allow flash up to 1/8000 sec. One was posted on you-tube a while back. One needs to fire the remote flash (set at full power as a slave) with an on-camera flash (using a cable to get closer to the slave, if necessary).
Don't know why this works to avoid the shutter shadow problem. My guess is long flash duration. Can anyone remember and post that video?
Bill Gordon: Please describe a few of your methods ie games you play with them. I sometimes put them on hold ("Hold for a moment; I have another call coming in. Be back shortly"). I never come back, and then see how long they will wait before hanging up.
What does the update fix? If it is just to give the ability to read newer camera raw codes, most of us don't need it.
OK, you folks are a very smart slice of the world population. Do you have anything that stops them cold? I have tried a couple of systems here in the USA (noMoRobo and an app for my iPhone) but they just keep coming.
How about answering three people's questions. Or mark as sold. Just do something.
