I can see an extra card slot is like insurance for your house and car. Something that's seems like a waste until you need it, then you're forever grateful you got it.

I point my camera at a flat surface in AF. I push the release button halfway to let the lens auto focus. I then adjust the viewfinder to give me the sharpest focus. I then put my lens on MF and go take my pictures. I don't have live view.

I don't edit except for the occasional crop. So I post for others to enjoy then delete except for family and the occasional exceptional shot. I'll be taking more anyway.

I've shot several times from a moving car. I've found the best method for me is to have as fast of a shutter speed as possible, shooting in bursts, panning, and zooming out to keep the focus the farthest out I can. Oh, and be ready to throw a very high percentage of the photos back out the window since they're going to be crap. Other than that, have fun.

When shared with a friend!

Not mine, it's just to good not to share.

I agree, they do look a little soft. I still like them, though. My first thought was can you increase your shutter speed? The second was maybe the delay because of auto focus? What about shooting in bursts? I've used the last one a few times finding the 2nd and 3rd shots usually give me a sharper image.

Today I tried something I've been wanting to do. I placed a mirror on the ground and shot into it to use the cloudy sky as a backdrop. I only got a few shots before those same clouds decided I was done and rained on my parade. I think it has potential. It definitely beats laying in the mud for sure.

I'm with you, delete, delete, delete. It's a very rare photo that I'll keep. The rest once I've done with them what I'm going to are gone. I know there will always be more and I'm sure once I'm gone nobody will care about them. I'd rather spend my time shooting then perusing old photos.

Hi. I lost the battery & charger for my Nikon d3000 camera. I have a reputable dealer in my area. To replace the battery & charger with OEM Nikon products would cost about $100. Walmart sells replacement batteries from a company called Upstart Batteries. They offer two exact replacement batteries with a charger for $22.99.

Has anyone had any experience with this company. Or should I bite the bullet, and go Nikon OEM?

Any responses will be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Irv.
Hi. I lost the battery & charger for my Nikon ... (show quote)

I have used second hand batteries for many things and I'm currently using them in my camera. I research and read the reviews I find. In those reviews you will always find somebody giving them a bad review. What is the percentage of the bad reviews? A high percent? Yeah, avoid them. How does the company respond? Bad? Yeah, avoid them. Otherwise I'd say go for after market brand. I don't know that company so I can't say about them. I've also had many OEM things end up crap and finally had to go to an off brand to get a good product. Basically do a good research through many sources to make your decision.
