I have drooled over the A7 cameras but can't quite swallow the price at this point in time. Maybe in the future!

You could get a Sony A7 mirrorless and a set of lens adapters:

I will look at the 6D. Had not really considered it because I thought it would cost considerable more than an APS-C camera.
MT Shooter wrote:
Not really, it's just that you will get to use the whole lens on all those full frame lenses you already own, PLUS get MUCH better performance out of them indoors and in low light than any crop sensor camera can give you.

I guess my concern is the learning curve moving from a APS-C to a FF. Any thoughts on that?
MT Shooter wrote:
Why not the full frame 6D? It's less expensive than the 7D MkII.

Thanks for the heads up! This is actually a birthday gift. Makes it easier to spend the money!!!! Just don't want to overdue it.

I know this question is never ending but am asking for input anyway.
Current camera T3i. Planning to purchase new camera and need advice.
I take tons of photos of kids at school, family, sports (not professional) and landscapes. In other words, pretty much everything. These are the lenses available for use: Canon 50mm f1.2, Canon 24-70 f2.8, Canon 70-200 f2.8. Cameras I am looking at (all Canon's): 6Ti, 6Ts, 70d, 7dmarkII.
A FF camera isn't in the budget at this time (spent the money on lenses). PP programs, PSCS5, Elements 13, Lightroom 4.4. I have looked at all the comparison sites that have been listed before and still can't make a decision. All considered which camera would you suggest?
Sorry to keep beating the subject to death but when it is personal we all want to hear the answers again!!!!

Best lab to send email photos to. I am unhappy with Walgreens. I need lab that will also do some correcting.

I can tell you who I would never use again nor would I recommend them to anyone. Printerpix. I ordered 20 prints 4x6 and 5x7's over a month ago and still have not received them. First I tried emailing them to find out when I might receive them with no response. Then I called. Mistake. I waited on hold for 30 minutes and then the lady could only tell me what I already could see on their website. I called a second time and waited on hold for 20 minutes and finally gave up cause I need to go. I will never use them again. I used them because they were running a special is the only reason I was trying them.
I have used MPIX and will go back to them. They are fast and my pictures have always looked great.
Maybe others have had a better result with Printerpix but not me!

After reading your suggestions I think I will stay with just taking the pictures and not sell any photographs. That way it won't get so sticky!

I take a lot of pictures at school and would like a simple model release that parents could sign so that I am legally covered if I want to use student pictures on my teacher website, videos I create (to sell) or if someone wants to purchase a picture of their child. If anyone has a release they would be willing to share I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Bill for the link. I have downloaded it to my phone and think it will really be helpful.

You are not downloading the file, you are down loading the thumbnail. at 95K we can hardly see whats going on. Down load the JPEG of at least 5 meg is you want an honest response.

The only thing I can see is your shooting at f9, and using pattern for you focus, which means your camera is taking and average and ajusting your focus to that average. At F9 your DOF is way to shallow for the photos I'm looking at. So in general your F stop need to come to . and set you focuse points to 1, then try shooting .

Others will give you better setting for a scene shot like you have.

Here is a chart you might find useful.

Where would I find the instructions for Sharp Shooters $Dollar Bill test? I would like to try it with a couple of my lenses. Thanks for the information in advance.

I just did the Sharp Shooter $Dollar Bill on the wall test of my old EF 35-105. Seems like any softness is coming from UKNOWHO! I'd love to retrofit with IS, but that's the direction I'm looking. The currency engraving is very fine and sharply printed, even my wrinkled sample gave me a really good look at what my lens was doing.
Now, I'd prefer, if I had to choose shooting Dollar Bills than DXO charts anyday.

I understand how you feel. I've read many responses to peoples questions that I wondered why they were being so mean. I know it is hard to do but ignore those people because there are so many helpful and knowledgeable people on this site that are willing to help and support your questions.

I'm sorry to have presented a ridiculosity. When I started on this site I happily jumped in with both feet, thinking I could contribute and/or learn something. What I quickly learned is that there are far too many quick-on-the-trigger types who belittle and sneer. I went away for months, but I thought I'd come back and see if anything changed.

Guess not.

If something is displayed on a web page it can be stolen with a screen copy, if that worries you then copyright everything, watermark everything disable downloading and stay up nights worrying and it will still get stolen ;)

Me, I upload large images to flickr and disable downloading, so the best anyone can get is a screen copy, if they want it bad enough they are gonna get it.

Now, if you are displaying images on a web page to sell, well that is a different story, post a small image that imparts the view of the image, but would not be practical if copied and printed out - or used where it is blown up larger. There are other safeguards that image sale sites include to help deter theft - smaller image displays, watermarking, etc.

Some info here:

My Flickr images are usually 3000x2000 in size, which is about half the resolution of the original. Like I said, I like to display the larger images.
