I set mine to shoot in burst mode. Rarely can I get a single frame with the picture I want, and often find that a few frames later was an even better shot. I love burst mode and digital photography :-)

Nice shot. I did some cropping with my hands. Looks interesting when I removed all the land, and tree trunk. You might try some different cropping.

Now to decide on her name. Riley and Lacey are the front runners at the moment.

This is a 9 week old Pembroke Welch Corgi.

I like these very much. Now I'm going back to the fist picture you posted to take another look and compare.

So now I have multiple browser windows and have opened the first picture full screen. The picture does much better than the down sized version. My bad for not opening the first time around. I still find my eye wanders. I have trouble finding a place to focus and tend to look at pieces of the scene not the whole picture.

On the second photo I am able to focus on the water or the tree or the clouds or... the whole photo. My eye does not wonder but is able to pull in the whole scene.

What I found interesting on the third picture is that my eye did not wander. There is still a log going on, but I am able to look at the whole scene. I think I like the soft focus on the close branches, but then they distract me.

As you can tell.. I'm not a technical guy - just reacting to what I see. All have nice lighting and colors. Each is a beautiful shot. My personal preference leans to #3. Good stuff. Thanks or sharing and giving us a chance to compare and contrast.

JTR, here are two additional photographs that perhaps conform more to your and others view's. :)

I like the picture at first glance. Colors and subject are interesting. As I look at it longer I focus on the big falls framed by the 2 trees. I Cropped out the third tree and the second set of falls with my hand and am curious if there is a second photo hiding in the bigger picture. Very nice shot.

Very cute. Made me smile. We have a new puppy coming in a few days. Keeping our lower branches clear :-)

These are really nice. B/W is something I need to try. Always intimidated by getting good blacks and whites and not just a bunch of gray. The tree is impressive given how it was taken. The first is my favorite. Thanks for sharing

RE, Linda from Maine,nascar27, photophile - thanks for viewing and taking the time to post. This is a nice way to get feedback on shots. Never had an audience outside of the family to share the photos.
