Good morning friends, for some time now I have been having the itch for getting me a Sony A7iv camera, mainly because I would like to begin to take more pictures, specially now me and my wife have more time to travel.
Currently I have a Nikon D7200 with a couple of lenses that I only use for picture day at our preschool business and occasionally for a portrait session for a friend.
I think the reason I donβt use more is the weight.
I would like to mention I have triggers, and strobes that maybe will not work with a Sony camera.
So, any thoughts?
Those who have a Sony A7iv like it? Or is just collecting dust ππ
I mostly do photos but would like to try videos again without having to carry a camcorder like used to.
Thank you folks!
Thank you. That os exactly what I did with this customer.
I texted a before and after and she was pleased with the whiter teeth and the vibrant hair, but asked me to leave the wrinkles.
That is my goal. To do what you do.
Maybe like somebody was suggesting, send two "before" and "after" without telling what I fixed and asked which one they like the most.
What do you think?
I see.
It makes total sense. Specially ask the wife. Hahaha
Yes! I took a picture of a friend and she did the same!!
I see your point. Probably they are intended just for magazines and publications where they show those "perfect faces" right?
So, i should not touch faces at all? And just worry about composition, lighting etc?

Hi everyone, it's been some time since I posted something here, but this time I really could use some advise about this situation:
My wife and I had an argument about this topic :)
As I got me better lighting equipment, new lenses and camera, I have been asked by friends and co-workers if I could take their pictures, and they are paying me for them.
Since they are paying me, I want to give them a good product, and I think I should be asking questions about what they want, specially women; like "do you want less wrinkles?" or "Should I whiting your teeth?"
I even sent some samples to a co-worker with two pictures, before and after to see which one she would like the most. She is read hair, and her teeth were a little yellow with several wrinkles on her face, so I highlighted her hear, made her teeth white, and softened her face a little.
She came back to me telling me she liked the white teeth, and loved the red hair, but wanted me to keep her wrinkles.
When I told my wife she told me it was rude to ask a woman if she wants whiter teeth, or better looking face; that I should to the magic, and let them discover it by themselves, to which I told her since they are paying me, I have to give my best to satisfy them with their pictures, therefore I must ask questions, and they can decide if they want everybody else to know what I did with the processing.
I feel if I don't ask, I am loosing a chance to know what they really want. Especially since I plan to make this business bigger in the near future.
What are you guys feeling about this?
Thanks!!
Wow! Amazing!
I got to try that too.
Thanks!
Well. I got me my 18-200 vrll and I love it so far.
Very clean images. No too much distortion and it does not creep!
Got it at ebay and looks like it was never used. Looks brand new with all the packaging, manuals etc. Got a hoya 72mm filter and done.
And the price was good I guess. ($300)
Do you have a shot you can share?
I really would like to see how you compose such a wide lense.
Hi folks.
Its been a while since I posted here.
But I need expert opinions about what lens should I rent or possibly buy.
I shoot with a nikon D7000, and usually I am carring a 18-200 vrll lens with me.
But soon i will be traveling to escalante petrified state park, kanarraville canyon hiking, and zions nat park, including angels landing hike there.
So. Lots of great landscapes, and since my nikon is crop sensor I am already loosing something of my 18-200 lens. (Like 24-300) Not to mention is a little on the heavy side.
I have been thinking of renting a tokina 11-16 but I have no previous experience with ultra wide lens, and I dont want fish eye effect if its possible.
What you guys recommend for my nikon 7000?
Wow! Apparently everybody who owns this baby loves it.
I am going to take the plunge and get it.
Thank you all for your comments. Regards.
