The Greentoe brown shoes let me down on two separate bids. I refuse to waste time with them again. B&H, Adorama, Cameta, KEH or any one of a number of small, trusted local dealers will get you the best deal. Final offers from Greentoe are seldom as good as their hype promises.

No doubt that was your experience but when I bought it was much the opposite. B&H, Adorama ETC. could not or would not match what I was offered. I think it depends on supply and demand in most cases. Bottom line for me is they are worth a try but definitely shop around if you are into that kind of thing which I am.

I too purchased from them and it went smooth and yes I saved a few $$ in doing so. As stated there is a US warranty so not gray market stuff. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again if and when the need arrives.

Remember on CNN a while ago when a fella shot his neighbor's drone out of the sky because it was flying over his house; the drone owner sued the shooting neighbor and then I heard nothing more about it. I wonder what happened?? Great shot with a shotgun.

Maybe this is the one you are thinking of. http://blogs.wsj.com/law/2015/10/28/judge-dismisses-case-against-drone-slayer-who-shot-down-drone-from-back-porch/

I guess it is OK to use drones if you are a government agency however. http://blog.constitutioncenter.org/2014/02/a-court-victory-for-drones-warrants-a-fourth-amendment-discussion/

That is funny but it cost him dearly as this is what he had to do to make it up to her.

An elderly couple return to a Mercedes dealership where the
salesman has just sold the car they were interested in to a beautiful,
leggy, busty, blonde.
"I thought you said you would hold that car till we raised the $75,000
asking price," said the man. "Yet I just heard you closed the deal
for $65,000 to that lovely young lady there. You insisted there could be no
discount on this model."
"Well, what can I tell you? She had the ready cash and, just look at her, how
could I resist?" replied the grinning salesman.
Just then the young woman approached the aged couple and gave them the keys.
"There you go," she said. "I told you I would get the dope to reduce it. See you later, Grandpa.”
Never mess with the elderly!

Interesting article albiet coming from CNN. Most of the story is regarding the UK but I did see the claimed incidents in the US which does come very close to 3 a day as you stated originally. The only thing, which is typical of CNN is they leave out the details as to what they consider a close call and per usual media reporting I have no doubt they sensationalized it to a degree ( and yes I am a news media skeptic ). I would agree there is a problem but no different than any other law that gets broken. It's simply yet another NEW problem. The FAA as I'm sure you know has in place rules regarding flying them near airports so it comes down to enforcement. This problem is no different IMHO than drunk driving, enforcement is needed. More tax dollars will need to be spent to enforce the laws regarding the drones. Bottom line is you simply can't fix stupid and because of that the rest of us get the ever living crap regulated out of us. I do appreciate your link. I'm sure it has help more than just myself to have a better feel for the depth of the issue.

Try a replay of NBC Nightly news from 4/19. Plus this

I am not anti-drone. What I am for is public safety and some measure of personal privacy. There is no reason that drones can't operate in the same manner as radio controlled aircraft have for ages. However, the cost and skills required to operate them, compared to rc aircraft, have put them into hands of those that don't know or don't care what they are doing. And I am certainly NOT condemning all drone owners or operators - those who know what they are doing and their responsibility to obey regulations.

They are already a real threat. Just today a commercial aircraft collided with one on landing approach and on average there are three aircraft/drone incidents a day.

So, what happens when people who have nefarious motives for flying these things, and a person feels personally threatened by one, is that person allowed to defend him/her self against a drone? If the military can use them to take out terrorists, what is to stop terrorists or criminals from using them as air borne 'hit men'? I think the pictures that are taken of beautiful scenic places by drones are just fantastic, but, not everyone who owns a drone is going to use them for harmless activities. Down the road there will be more and more uses found for them that may pose personal privacy and public safety issues.

I wouldn't argue your concerns but until it becomes a real threat the feds are not going to do anything about it. Odds of you being the first victim are on your side so keep an eye out and enjoy life. It's far to short to be overly concerned about statistical improbabilities.

Hello, can I use this program on an ipad? I'm not using my computer.

That I could not say for sure. I believe they have contact information so if interested maybe try contacting them directly. I'd hate to say yes and be wrong. My guess is that you could but that is just a guess.

I bought MacBook Pro yesterday and now looking for a good free program. I use FastStone with Windows for basic editing and like it a lot, is there a program like that for Mac? Any suggestion? Thank you.

It's not free but was designed for MAC users. It's been getting very good reviews and although not free is only $50.00. Just an option to consider.

I've only had one encounter with a bobcat over the years unfortunately as they are awesome critters. I was sitting on a stump on the edge of a clear cut hunting deer many years ago. As the sun came up and the temperature started to warm I found myself with heavier than normal eye lids. That changed when I heard a little rustling from behind. A rabbit came past me in a blur with a bobcat only a few feet behind. Had I been fast enough I could have stuck a leg out and tripped them both as they came past me. End result was a few seconds later from the sounds the rabbit made it was clear mr. cat had caught up.
Great shots and thanks for sharing.

There are always different opinions I suppose so why not share my $0.02 worth. I am one that can't read Kelby stuff. My time is as valuable as any ones so when I need to waste some of it while he practices trying to be funny is a wee bit annoying for me. Again just one persons thoughts. If you can digest what your trying to learn with the slap stick BS tossed into the mix I envy you. I'm not sure what is available but if you can find some samples of each authors style it may be worth doing that. We all learn a little differently and some instructors hit home runs with us and other's don't simply because of their teaching style.

We don't need to control guns or drones. What need to control is the media for making a bigger deal of a matter than it is!

Amen to that. Look how terrible the media is regarding the election process. I can't stand to watch the news any longer as it is so freaking insulting.

Now a story about a drone gone wild would be interesting to watch but how often does that happen where it is actually threatening?

Interesting way to think. Either have a random drone flying around piloted by a reckless fool or a bullet flying around launched by another reckless fool. Both bad options but I'll take the drone any day.
