Ain't that the truth.......
Some people ask me why I left Connecticut and came to the Arkansas Ozarks.
This is why!

I'll be 70 in a few months, and fortunately, I still have a sense of humor.
I periodically post senior jokes on my Facebook page which are enjoyed by all my fb "friends".
When posting any jokes, there is always a danger of offending an Obama era PC cupcake leftover.
The humor is worth the risk.
By the way, I did enjoy your joke. Thanks for sharing it.
I went by train from Connecticut to New York (Whitehall) for induction on 07 Aug 67. Then to Great Lakes via train.
After boot camp I went to NCTC Pensacola for A School.
Following A School I was stationed at NAVCOMMSTA HONO for 2 years.
From Hawaii I was stationed at NAVCOMMSTA Sidi Yahia, Morocco as my last duty station.
While in Morocco I qualified for a six month early out. I took my separation at Quonset Point, Rhode Island as a CTO-3. 07 Feb 71.
My home town is Plainville. I retired to the Ozarks from Connecticut. This is the first time I've ever heard of these islands. I obviously missed out on some great photo opportunities. You got some good ones there for sure.
After the Navy I traded it in on a '68 Cyclone. I always missed the '64.
My '68 Cyclone
That Comet Cyclone was a long time ago.
The lens has a minimum focus of 11 inches. My tube has the slide at 11 1/4 inches. Shorting the tube isn't going to get where it needs to be. I'm leaning toward a macro. I sort of like the one suggested earlier.
Thank you everyone.
I made an extension tube using a body cap with a hole drilled through it. I put it in one end of a 2" rubber PVC cuppler. I inserted an old Minolta 50mm prime in the other end. It's a bit too powerful as it will only focus on a small portion of the slide.
This is why I love this forum. I am such an amateur, I try every trick my mind can come up with, when there are simple answers right here.
Thank you.
I cannot bring the slide / negative close enough to the camera and still be able to focus to capture the film only. This is why I was asking about a macro zoom lens.
I would like to photocopy my old film slides.
I would like to capture the film only. The method I'm using is wasting too many megapixels.
What (affordable, under $200) macro auto focus lens would focus just on the film?

What I am left with after cropping
Our Granddaughters visited with us for a week. We just brought them back home to Huntsville, Alabama.
Yesterday we spent the afternoon at Ozark Isle State Park in Oakland, Arkansas, where we live.
It was a great for a park visit. The girls love the water of Bull Shoals Lake. I on the other hand spent the time playing with my D3200 and 55-200 mm kit lens.
PS: These are screen shots from my Cell phone, when I try to upload the original shots I am getting a message that the entity is too large. (?)
Here are a couple of shots I got.
Thank you. I just copied your suggestions into the phones notepad so I will not forget these things.
I get plenty of political opinions on Facebook. Lol
Now I made my reply vanish.
It is a d3200. I had the lens zoomed to 200mm. I think I had the dial set to sports (I think).
I have photoshop express on my phone. When I clicked on auto enhance, the birds exposure improved, but the sky turned white.
thank you for the help.
