Very nice captures, but he probably won't survive very long. They need others of their own species nearby. I found out about this when I rescued a fledgling sparrow. He was fine for a couple days, then he stopped eating and died a couple days later. I bought a book about caring for wildlife, and the bird had no other sparrows to communicate with. What I found out was that birds especially need to hear their own kind to grow and survive.

I have 2 Canon printers for photography. I have a Canon PIXMA Pro 9000 MkII that is probably close to 20 years old, and Canon PIXMA Pro 100 that is at least 12 years old. They both have been incredible. Granted the ink is expensive. I had some health problems several years ago and both of these printers sat idle for almost a year. When I was better, I turned them on, loaded some paper, and out came some prints. I have to ocassionally have to run the cleaning utility. The Pro 100 is especially good for B+W prints as it has black, light grey, and dark grey as well as various color inks. The old 9000 has a bunch of color inks and black. I don't know what I'm going to do when these stop working.

I have a D5000 I no longer need as I have upgraded to the D7100. It includes everythng she will need until she is ready to spend a lot of money. It includes the case, another lens, filters, manual, and more. I'm going to try to add photos of the entire package below. $300 for everything + shipping. I think this would be a great starter camera.

Shootg me an email if interested. joedash7@gmail.com

That's an awesome setup at a great price. Like you, I have the D7100, but I kept my D5100 for my wife. However, I would hop on your deal in a New York minute. About cell phone cameras, the key word here is phone. They are great for spontaneous photos. They are hard to use in bright sunlight. There is nothing like a good camera for creating wall worthy photos.

I would go with a used Nikon 3000 series. You can get a 3200 or 3300 for a couple hundred dollars with a lens.
Canon is a good choice also.
No reason to spend big bucks on a camera, it will take years to outgrow these.

I agree, I replied earlier about my old Nikon D3100 with an 18x140 lens. I gave it to a good friend's 14yo daughter. The "guide" mode was especially helpful.

Much like the 1957 posted here, it looks like it's going fast while it's sitting still. Thanks for the nice pictures.

It's one of the few cars that looks like it's going fast, even when it's sitting still. Thanks for the nice pictures.

A few years ago, I gave my Nikon D3100 to a friend's teenager. I added an 18x140 lens. It takes good pictures, it has a handy "guide mode" in the menu that is helpful for a beginner. I have printed photos up to 13x19 inch with this camera. I read an article a few years ago where the author felt that the D3100 was a good intro to DSLR photography.

The first car I remember was a 1953 Ford station wagon, not the Squire. As a kid we would vacation in Wildwood NJ and I would ride on the tailgate with my two older brothers. I don't think that would happen in today's world. We never worried about getting in an accident or worse, getting rear ended. Carefree days in the mid 1950's.

We had a '59 Ford. We had a '58 Edsel Pacer before that. My dad loved that car. His brother John worked for Ford and he advised my dad to get rid of it, he said they were going to discontinue it. Too bad, they are pretdty valuable today. However, the 1959 Ford was a good looking car. All the major companies for the most part, produced stylish cars back then. Yours is beautiful.

I'm always interested in photos like this. I find myself wondering about the people who lived there, the happy times, the sad times, and why did the leave. Very moody photo, thanks.
