Thanks so much for all of the great advice. As many of you suggested, I'm going to go check them out in a store and see what I come up with. Then I will probably be back with more questions. :)
I have an old Canon AV1 with a 50mm lens and a 200mm zoom lens. Will these lenses work with a new Canon camera? I just pulled this old camera out this morning. The winder is broken/stuck. Other than that, the camera works perfectly. Do you think it's worth being repaired? Thanks for your help.
I'm sorry. Yeah, I guess that would be helpful. I like to photograph my three beautiful boys and nature...trees, landscapes, flowers. And believe me, nature is much easier because it doesn't wiggle as much as my boys do. Thanks so much for the warm welcome and the advice y'all have already given.
I love to take pictures and I have been wanting a "whoodie-do" (pronounced who-dee-doo...lol) camera for a very long time. So, I thought the best advice for a camera purchase would come from a site such as this. I'm looking at Canon and Nikon. I've never owned either and this is going to be a major investment for me. Could I get some pros and cons from some folks who have actually used them for more than just a test run? Remember, I'm at entry level and don't speak the language very well yet. :) Thanks in advance for your time and your advice.
