Daniel I must disagree my zeikos tubes have all the contacts and allow autofocus to work properly with my camera.http://www.dphotojournal.com/zeikos-ze-cvan-reviews-sample-photos/ here is a link to check out, they are distinguished for nikon and canon by a c, or n, at the end of the letter sequence on the tubes.

Then I stand corrected. Could it be you have defective tube?

It depends on the tube and camera as some will not work in auto. Especially if your a cheepy like me with the tubes..

Hi there, If I have PS Elements 9, is it necessary to upgrade to CS5? What kind of features can I find on CS5 that I cannot do in Elements? I am a budding new professional, so I want to grow my business but I seriously do not know if this is a move I need to spend money on or not. Also, not sure what lightroom is all about, what kind of benefits would it have for me? Thanks!
Shanna

you may want to check out www.youtube.com and search for video's that show you. I was very impressed with what PS CS5 can do as well as lightroom. I saw about 5-6 different videos and made my purchase. These will help you with your business as it has with mine. mainly all of this depends on what your business is about. Check it out and decide. I'm one of those who must see it in action before I'll even come close to making a decission on a purchase. I hope this helps and good luck!

You can actually get PS CS5 and try it out for 30 days free, but it is extremely complex. If I was you I would learn all I could with PS elements and master it before making that leap if you haven't already. Thats just my 2 cents worth.

Excuse me I do not mean to be harsh but if you have to ask what RAW is you are no more qualified to be a wedding photographer than you are qualified to lead Seal Team six in a commando raid. You want to learn to do weddings then GO TO SCHOOL. AT THE VERY LEAST SIGN up for the New York Institute of Photography correspondence course. They have a whole unit on wedding photography, and by the time you are done you will know what raw is and what cameras (as in plural or more than one body) and other equipment you will need. If you cover a wedding and your camera breaks or an accident occurs and you dont have a back up body the wedding party is SCREWED and you will get sued and have a bad reputation. This is the most important day in a couples life and since there is no second chances the photographer has to be competent. This is someones wedding, it should not be trusted to someone who doesnt know what he/she is doing. This is not a learning expierence for you to make a few bucks. There is a reason it is called PROFESSIONAL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY. Just because I own a car doesn't make me a professional NASCAR driver, just because I own a toolbox full of craftsman tools doesnt make me a professional auto mechanic and just because I have a camera doesn't mean I am a professional photographer. Sorry to be so harsh but it really pisses me off that the guys and gals who put in the time to be trained properly, invested in the proper equipment, and whose livelhood depends on wedding photography are being undercut by every tom dick and uncle floyd with a cannon digital rebel one lens and no clue. You want to learn wedding photography? call around to any professional photographer that does weddings see if he is hiring for an assistant. tThats the best hands on training you can get. If they arent hiring offer to work for free. You still will be getting a first rate education on wedding photography for free. No I am not a wedding photographer. My dad was a professional photojournalist who did weddings on the side. but since he graduated from brooks institute of photography he knew what he was doing. I saw what crap he had to put up with and wanted no part of it.

I here people saying that you want faster lenses, but not quite sure what that means. I have a Canon 50D with an EFS 18-200mm lens. Is that a fast lens?

I took these Monday in Louisiana after my wife complaining about it hooting outside our window. I went outside and it flew to me and posed for the camera. I posted some under critters but thought I would put a few appropriately under bird also.

My wife kept singing that song except she was saying six nights in a row which is what got me out looking for it and it found me. LOL funny how things happen sometimes

I have been involved in photography since 1976, first as a hobby, then developing (no pun intended) into a business. I started out in the sports arena, a portrait studio and now sort of free lancing from the house. My equipment is Canon through and through. Currently, I shoot a 20d and 5d Mark II, with a 50, 100, 24-70, 70-200 2.8 and a 15 mm fisheye.

Hey Kenneth sounds like you should be able to give some good advice with your many years of experience. Welcome aboard, I haven't been here long but this is a great sight to get an array of viewpoints and information, and I love the format.
