R.G., I think you are right and I should crop a little from the right side. I did take some Haze out of it. I think I am just going to let it go as it is. I did it with cheap paper, but I have someone who wants to buy it, so any idea about the best type of paper to use; the picture is going to be large (for my thinking) 20 x 30. I can spend quite a lot, since I am being paid more than enough to cover the cost.
I pasted this from the show: the Carnegie Arts Center is celebrating the variety of artistic creativity found in California’s Central Valley. This year the show will feature works by the area’s most accomplished photographers. Entries will be accepted from throughout California and the exhibition will be juried by well-known photographer Ted Orland.
Nothing is online yet.
Yes, it need something interesting in the foreground, but I wasn't going to add it (too much work) and the color is dull and does lack of contract, but when I tried to added with pp I just could not get it right. that's why it depress me.
entered this picture in a contest and it was picked as one of the best, but I need to know why? what would you do to change it? I wanted to be foggy and I know that is what the judge liked about it; I find it depressing.
there is so much love between you and your dog. It can be seen in your very happy dog.
OK I am just going to do the basic PS and Lightroom stuff and go for it. I don't know all that much of altering a photograph and I do not at the time. It is only a judge's opinion.
I am sure you all can answer what I do not understand. I want to enter this contest, but it has the restriction saying "images maybe be digitally altered using standard optimizing techniques that can also be done in a darkroom." So what can I do digitally in photoshop and lightroom that I can not do in a darkroom, or the other way around. To me, it leaves a lot to my imagination.
thanks for all the suggestions and a big Thank You to Caranx who gets a big Kiss.
I can be so dumb sometimes, after doing everything under the sun to print correctly; I broke down and used my very expensive Red River paper and the pictures comes out perfect.
So I am burning all my old Cannon Paper. Red River Rules!
