You just need something like 'Duplicate finder if you use a PC.
This program will find more than simple duplicates but also 'look alike' and sets a % of similarity. It works with Windows 10 and earlier, including XP. It has not been 'updated' since who knows when but why upgrade something that works better then many other offerings?
Three notable issues:
- Selecting directories is not all that intuitive
- Comparing files is slow, especially with the number you list, better break this up for speed and convenience.
- Deleting or renaming files is tedious, select, delete, confirm - one at the time, manually -.
Advantages:
- Select directories across partitions or disks to compare (add to the directories to be checked)
- Low overhead (CPU/RAM use)
- File preview (do not maximize the program, it will hang)
- Allows the deletion of duplicate depending on location
- Allows renaming vs deleting
- Looks at content not file names (hence the slowness)
