Newton rejected the concept of the Trinity. Einstein rejected Judeo-Christianity and a belief in the idea of eternal life, outright. Hawkins was an atheist. Hubble was an agnostic. Georges Lemaître was a Catholic Priest
Brian Green does not seem to admit to any religious filter which would shape his views.

Did time exist before the Big Bang? The mathematics that led to the theory of the Big Bang do not allow it to. To paraphrase Brian Green, how can you go further north than the North Pole?
