Has anyone ever used Snapfish or Shutterfly for ordering prints? If so, what are your thoughts concerning quality compared to a professional service from a camera store?

Yes, I have a good tripod, the extras and a back up camera. These people have seen my work and tell me they want me for what they have seen me do and don't expect pictures as perfect in quality as a professional, but know what I am capable of capturing. I am charging because they want to pay and like in other forums, It has been said if you don't charge your hurting the rest and aren't putting any value on your work.
As far as ole sarge's comment, the comment has underlying tones of meanness. If you never saw my work how would you know I would be "killing 3 birds with 1 stone"

I am an amateur at best who has been asked to shoot a wedding, a baptism, and a family portrait. The people who asked have been repeatedly reminded that I am NOT a professional but still want my services. My question is how to price for these shoots. Any advice is appreciated.
Also, I have wondered what others use as a preferred lens for this

I used to be able to do this with my 35mm but don't think the digitals can. The only way now is to use Photoshop, which I still haven't figured out how to use the layer aspect yet.

What I would like to know is, are layers and superimposing the same thing? Years ago I had a program by corel which I loved for superimposing pics into other pics. After my computer crashed I found that program was obsolete and now programs have "layers" which I am having trouble with.

I like to print pics sometimes and am having a very frustrating problem. The picture can look good and how I want it on the screen, but when I print it they always come out much darker. I tried calibrating my lap top screen to no avail. Is it the printer?

I don't understand what the letter after the aperture stands for. Ex:

Nikon D7100 DSLR Camera with 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR DX Lens VS Nikon D7100 DSLR body only

I keep seeing posts recommending NOT to purchase a camera with a kit lens. Doesn't it save you money to purchase body and a lens? Why not a kit lens?

The above 2 examples I have been looking at

That is exactly what I am trying to do. For a college educated person, I feel SOOOOO dumb at the fact I can't seem to get the whole ISO, aperture, shutter thing to work down pat. I went to a outdoor garden yesterday and had my Tamron SP AF 17-35mm 1:2.8-4 lens on my Nikon D80. It was an overcast day so I set my WB to cloudy, ISO at 400 and in full manual mode took over 400 pictures setting the aperture/shutter at various settings. For the most part, many of the pictures came out pretty good but if I view them at 100% some remain sharp, others not so sharp. I had a few over exposed, couple under exposed. I thought I was getting the hang of it but just as I was putting my theory together, some pics came up that blew the theory. now I'm wondering if I should have played with a lower ISO. OR is it me shaking ever so slightly making some shots with the exact same settings look different.
Of course I can't post all these pictures but here are a couple for you all to critique.
First on is at 1/400 5.6, second is 1/1000 3.5. both at 400 ISO

1/400 5.6

1/1000 3.5
