I am considering buying the Tokina 11-16mm to use with my Nikon D7100. I am not sure if I should buy the Tokina 11-16mm f/2,8 AT-X, or if I should pay more, and buy the Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 DX II. Has anyone had experience using either one or both of these with the Nikon D7100? If so, which lens would you recommend buying?

I have the D7100 and the Tokina 11-16mm f/2,8 AT-X and I am very happy with the images. however as a caveat, I also own the Nikon 17-35 2.8. If I did not have that lens I would do exactly what MT shooter is recommending since 11-16 on it's own, is a very narrow range.

For those that have had extraordinary experiences, no explanation is required. For those that have not,no explanation will be accepted.

Um, okay.

Do you have an actual point?

Yes I do. The primary reason that many or most recommend that neither religion nor politics should be discussed is that, people truly "believe" that their religion and political views are t***hs. Therefore, contrary discussions will most likely turn out poorly with many resorting to emotionalism. A person "believes" in their religion as well as their chosen political party. they will require a significant emotional event to change their "belief"s

Religion and Politics are both based on faith.

Ah yes, the two wrongs make a right philosophy.

Maybe you would like to explain why Janet Yellen still refuses to raise the interest rates above 0% because of the current employment situation.

Boy, sensitive, ain't we?

I must have touched a tender nerve.

I'm not projecting my feels, I'm commenting on your feels, and you must feels pretty good to snap like that.

You have a pretty serious commitment to your narrative.

Remember this: "As info comes out, they cling desperately to their original narrative, panicking when it is challenged."

You just showed it in action...and how!

Now, I made an innocent summary of what we have, and you accuse me of spreading h**e.

Please post what you think is h**eful in my post.
Boy, sensitive, ain't we? br br I must have touch... (show quote)

Actually my plan was to react exactly like a liberal lefty that is way more concerned with a political agenda and not the t***h.

How does it feel to receive the type of response that is generally given by the l*****ts? It was not entirely accurate because I left out the usual insult concerning you intelligence, or references about being off meds.

Do I expect t***h or justice regarding the Michael Brown issue? No, however, I'm very disheartened that there are high profile factions that not only condone the destructive aftermath, but also feel it was warranted.

In all honesty, what you believe or do not believe is of no interest or consequence to me. I was just curious to see what response my post was going to receive.

You did not disappoint.

regards

A lot people on this site have a great emotional investment in the narrative they jumped to when they first read about the shooting: some n----r f---ed with a cop, and got what he deserved!

As info comes out, they cling desperately to their original narrative, panicking when it is challenged.

We now have five or six eye witnesses, an audio tape, and possibly a video(???).

We don't know what else there might be.

If the prosecutor returns an indictment, we have a good chance of finding out fairly clearly what happened.

Sounds like you are projecting your feels since I have not noticed ANYBODY implying anything of the sort.

Go spread you h**e somewhere else

I try to force myself to see every aspect of what is in the viewfinder and not just what I think is in the view finder. If what I see in the viewfinder matched what I see in my minds eye, I press the shutter.

The question is WHY is there a 50 to 3 margin? Is it a product of racism or a simple lack of qualified aplicants? Of coarse the race hustlers say racism, but it just may not be the case. Perhaps the town should try to get more minority officers but the standards should not be lowered to reach that goal.

Recently, (a few days after the Ferguson shooting),NPR (not known for their conservative leanings) interview a black female police officer from Dallas Texas. She was clear that the community in which she was raised had a significant distrust for the Police organization and those in her community tried to talk her out of joining. She also mentioned that sadly many of the folks that she grew up with would not pass the back ground check for a job in the local PD. Possibly a better question should be, how many non whites applied for a job in the Ferguson PD.

I started using one (espo disc) and I am very pleased. Sometimes our memory of what the color was cannot be trusted. With an accurate WB we will always start from the same point. The Passport is even more versatile. For anyone shooting video it is almost a must to start with an accurate WB. It can also be used as an incident Light Meter.
