Last time missed me by two blocks, last night one was 2 miles north of me, and another one 3 miles south of me. That is two times, I hope the third time is not the charm and it gets me. 9 of us were in my cellar, wife, son his wife and two boys, my granddaughter and her son, a neighbor and me. No damage to my house, but I did inherit someone's trampoline thanks to the tornado.

I'm happy you have a basement. I cannot figure why OK doesn't have more basements. I understand the water situation and flooding the basement, but there is a type of paint that will seal several inches of cinder block. That should take care of the water, shouldn't it?
but anyway prayers to Moore and Oklahoma.

This land is your land, this land is my land
From California, to the New York Island
From the redwood forest, to the gulf stream waters
This land was made for you and me

As I was walking a ribbon of highway
I saw above me an endless skyway
I saw below me a golden valley
This land was made for you and me

Chorus

I've roamed and rambled and I've followed my footsteps
To the sparkling sands of her diamond deserts
And all around me a voice was sounding
This land was made for you and me

Chorus

The sun comes shining as I was strolling
The wheat fields waving and the dust clouds rolling
The fog was lifting a voice come chanting
This land was made for you and me

Chorus

As I was walkin' - I saw a sign there
And that sign said - no tress passin'
But on the other side .... it didn't say nothin!
Now that side was made for you and me!

Chorus

In the squares of the city - In the shadow of the steeple
Near the relief office - I see my people
And some are grumblin' and some are wonderin'
If this land's still made for you and me.

I hope every wing nut on this board will remember this song.
And this board is truly loaded with right wing nuts, amazing to me that people who love the beauty of photography can be such hate filled mongers of venom.

That's a bigun alright, Yes, hard to tell if one or more. I wouldn't want to look down into the base of it.
I love the Pedernales River and how Texans pronounce it. It is spelled Pedernales but pronounced Perdenales. LBJs ranch is on this river and he probably got the pronouncing started. He is probably why French is no longer the international language. Bonejour Madam!

I sypathize with your situation although I don't know your details; Be it medical, financial or both. The VA is extremely backed up with processing claims as well as some degree of incompetence. (I waited nearly two years)
If you are communicating by mail or E-mail; you should try to get to a real person to talk to at the VA or even contacting your Congressman or Senator. A good start would be here: http://www2.va.gov/directory/guide/facility.asp?id=5460&r=1 I would walk in to talk to them.

Thank you for your service and welcome home brother.

I was eventually directed to the county Veterans officer. He ran me through a choice to use. It's "Non service-connected pension." It isn't very much, but every cent counts. It is determined by a grant they receive from the Gov. Trouble is, it takes about a year to complete. But that's ok. I didn't expect any help in this form.

To those who have been telling me to get on the wifi in my back yard, I just found out that this other PC that was my roomies is connected to the WiFI. I tried to fix a problem on my regular PC and they told me to unplug the Belkin wifi. When i tried to use the PC I couldn't because it was unplugged. So I'm connected to the WiFi. Thanks for all y'all help.

Since you are moving maybe there is something you can exchange with a local swap shop in return for a laptop. Maybe something too big to pack or no longer going to need in the new home.

Good idea, thanks. Will check it out as I have a lot of stuff to get rid of.

Every MacDonald's has high speed wi-fi if you're using a laptop. That's what I used when I moved to Florida until my cable was installed a couple weeks later.

Thank you, but, one problem. No laptop.
But I really appreciate all of you making the suggestions.

As to the wi-fi; an all nite diner or truck stop may have wi-fi. Motels along the highway may be another good bet.
Wear your Veterans cap, it may help avoid hassle.

Thank you and yeah I found a website that shows where all the wifi connections are.

They will lend a hand. We even have motorcyle veteran groups here in PA that help. Ask around at your vetrean clinic. Good luck we will pray for you.
