You really did do the right thing. I have done 3 relatives weddings and I finally started telling them no. Why? Because you are her brother and have a right to be there and enjoy your sisters wedding. I missed out on 3 weddings and all my memories are of them is all the hassles of the shoot. Dont feel bad!

Ok I'll say what many of us are thinking. I think in this day and age people put WAAAYY to much importance on wedding photos. My Mom and Dad were were happily married for 47 years. I have the old wedding pictures.. about 35 maybe. I remember looking at them with my parents. We didnt sit there and say, "Oh look how the sun reflects off her hair!" or "Wow those pictures are so clear and focused!" WE would sit and she would tell us about this picture or something about that person in a shot. All these are... are photos that record a place and a time. MY wedding photos were not taken by a pro. We couldnt afford the $1000's that people pay. But we still take them out and laugh and remember the day. Photographers today and customers put so much emphasis on the photos that for some it actually ruins their wedding (in their eyes.) They (photographers and customers) act like they are recording the wedding of Jesus or something! Its just a wedding folks.. it doesn't matter if those shots are perfectly composed or perfectly exposed.. its just a wedding and there are SO many more important things you will have to worry about in life! I know people that have literally gone broke paying for a wedding of their kids... thats CRAZY! Dont get me wrong.. I have photgraphed a few weddings.. alot of work and headaches.. everything came out fine.. they all loved the photos I took...but ITS JUST A WEDDING!

Are you nuts? I think you should check your camera. I too love film, especially black and white, but the comparison of even my d5000 at 12mp is no comparison to my old Nikon film camera..

If I could... I would charge ten grand! I have done a few no charge weddings for relatives. Everything went fine, but having to go through all that headache is not worth it to me anymore. I would say a good wedding photographer is underpaid. It takes years of experience to be a really good wedding photographer.

I think you should be paid something but human nature never fails. I would bet that as soon as you ask for money they will show you the door. This has ALWAYS been my experience...Good luck!

Big Daddy: If Oswald was involved, he still could not have fired the fatal shot. Abraham Zapruder's film clearly shows the president's head snapping back and to the left. Brain, bone, skin, and blood splattered on the trunk of the car. The shot could only have come from in front and to the right.

At this time Oswald was allegedly in the Book Depository Building on the sixth floor. He was above, the president, to his right, and behind him. If he could have made the shot with a WWII bolt action rifle, it would have snapped Kennedy's head forward and to the left.
Big Daddy: If Oswald was involved, he still could ... (show quote)

Ive been telling people this for years.. I do believe Oswald was involved but was not the only shooter.. There used to be a film they would show once in awhile of a 9mm film showing the grassy knoll.. there was a clear puff of smoke that comes from the fence under the tree branches.. investigators (the fake Warren Commission) said it was a glitch in the film.. but if it was the film would it be on all 43 frames of film? Every now and then this film clip shows up on TV but havent seen it in a long time.. we will probably never know what happened, at least in our lifetime...

I wanted to add one to my list..lol.. I wish I could have been there the day Kennedy was shot to take a few photos of the grassy knoll to prove once and for all that Oswald did not act alone!

It's not about how many people see them, or what kind of people they are. It's about proof. Many people sincerely believe they see ghosts, LGM, and fairies in the meadow. They don't lie on purpose (except the admitted hoaxers, like the Patterson film guy). But their minds TELL them they've seen something because that's what the human brain tries to do. See patterns in chaos. See movement in the bushes. It's evolution's way of keeping us alive.

Bigfoot/Sasquatch/Yeti/The Jersey Devil/etc etc etc may have been 'seen' for hundreds of years, but no one has come up with a bone fragment, piece of hide, or unfaked photograph. Until they do....

I know there are just as many believers as disbelievers. People always say that if there were a Bigfoot we would have found one. There are an estimated 50,000 gray wolves in the US... how many have you actually seen? I've been all over and never seen even one. And by the way it was a rumor that Patterson admitted it was a hoax but there is no documentation. Read the book by Loren Coleman, he explains why with so much money is involved and ownership of the tape has been questioned, as to why certain people would want it to be considered a fake to bring down the most widely used film on TV. I could spend hours discussing the subject and I know this is not the place to discuss this...lol.. if anybody would like to discuss it further my email is bigdaddy198263@yahoo.com.

Ok here is a question. If you had to pick 3 of your "Ultimate Photo Opportunities" what would they be and why? It might be a place, or a person or a thing. I always found it interesting to hear why people photograph the things that they do. Personally I would like to go to Guam (because I lived there for 5 year from 1963 to 1968.) I would like to take a photo of an actual Bigfoot (dont ask...lol) and I would like to take photos underwater someday. Just curious others would like to shoot!

Am I limited to three? Well, here goes: Scotland, the highlands and western isles; the fiords of Norway; Zion National Park and the Grand Canyon

Differnt people have differnt definitions of a dream shot besides the obvious shots of Loche Ness or Bigfoot though I doubt they even exist. Mine would be to turn me loose in Italy and Greece for a week, I'm sure I would come up with a lot of dream shots!

Come on cjkorb... everybody knows there is a Bigfoot.. if it was a hoax, were the Indians and all the people from every major continent in on the joke? Why would every Indian tribe all over the North American continent have a name for it.. LOL
All I know if there is one I would love to have a photo of one.. worth a million dollars! lol
