I fo upload a few to mi iPad when away. I only shoot in jpeg now cause I have a Fuji & they are just that good. If I need to I use the app Snapseed to edit. Then upload an image to FB or Instagram for friends/family.

Have you looked at Fuji cameras. I moved from Nikon years ago & never looked back. I can’t say enough good things about them. To start with the software updates are fabulous. Other companies make you buy a new camera if you want the latest bells. Have a good look at them so worth it.
I know best decisions I made.
I left Nikon years ago for Fuji. It was just getting too heavy when I travelled.
I had pretty much the same set up as you do. I sent much $$ over the years getting my lens etc.
I used to only shoot RAW & spent hours at a computer after a trip editing. Even through all that time I just didn’t get the punch I wanted. I tried pre-sets, tweeted here & there.
And I I been professional trained in my photography, entered many competitions over my time.
After one trip in particular where I had bought a small X10 of Fuji & brought all my Nikon gear.
I left the Fuji on auto. Got home & popped in to the computer started to watch these jpeg files emerge.
Yup that’s it Nikon baby & all it’s lens we’re sold.
I bought the XT2, 18-135, 100-400, 18-55 lens & a couple of lensbabys lens.
I haven’t looked back.
You might think you want to save your camera for one of the kids don’t bother.
By that time these kids won’t want it with the advancements in phones etc.
I love the jpeg files so much I’ve not ever going back to shooting in RAW.
Fuji updates the firmware regularly so you get all the latest without having to buy another camera.
Fuji all the way. I moved from Nikon a number of year back. I won’t ever go back. I love the way I can shoot in 3 film simulation modes. I used to shoot RAW all the time. I hate sitting at a computer for hours tweaking. I shoot JPEG only they are just that good.
If he’s have trouble rent one to try.
Nothing.
Just saying don’t plan on this trip.
It won’t happen, best to look at another area on your side of the border.
There’s lots of places that are just as beautiful.
Sometimes people aren’t up on things.

The jpegs SOOC are amazing, I’m so not into sitting for hours editing.
Also panorama mode fabulous, no stitching them together myself it does it in camera.
I can shoot in 3 different modes at one time, ie: Vivid, Crome, Soft Astia.

Get the 18-135, I have both & the 18-135 never leaves my camera. It’s way more versatile than the 55-200.
I too was a Nikon user for years, shooting RAW doing hours on the computer to get the look I want.
Yuck then it became no longer enjoyable. Who wants to spend vacation in beautiful spots of the world capturing images of a lifetime, only to look at them & go hmmm not as I saw it in my minds eye.
I knew I wanted to go lighter & smaller in what dragged around. I spend many hours researching. I traded all my equipment in & went to Fuji. I don’t regret it for an instant.
The jpegs are amazing & I love them so much I rarely have to tweet them. And I love the panoramic mode. I used to spend hours stitching together images. Ah yeah just stand there & sweep the camera from left to right & it’s done in camera.
Some people rave about Sony they got nothing on Fuji.
I too switched from Nikon to Fuji a few years back & have the XT10 & XT2. I used to shoot only in RAW, but the jpegs are so darn good I don’t anymore. And I detest sitting at the computer processing. If your thinking of switching why not rent one a weekend & play with it.
Disney is expensive know matter how you look at it, the parks, merchandise, food, movies.
Slap a pair of rat ears on anything & the price triples.
Go to the craft store & ask for a polymer clay. It’s the kind you have to blend 2 different parts together. Sorry I don’t have the name of it. Make a tiny ball press it onto the button. Let it harden. It will stick up a bit so you can feel a difference. It had to use it on my old Nikon I have nerve damage in my thumb & cant feel much.
