When William Penn moved to the Americas he missed his English cooking and his Cornish aunts used to send him Cornish pasties.
Penn was outraged that he had to pay import tax on them and threatened mutiny against the crown.
Gilbert & Sullivan wrote an opera about it.
It was called "The pie rates of Penn's Aunts" :)

Well I'm amazed at the apathy from the US and others!
I watched the men's downhill from Kitzbühel, Austria yesterday and the American, Bode Miller came 3rd (2nd in Super G) don't you support him and the other members of the US team?
I loved the Olympics from London and I'm certainly looking forward to the Winter Olympics.
Perhaps it's the coverage that you get with all the adverts that put's you off?
You might be able to access the BBC coverage which, of course, will have no commercial breaks and will have expert commentators.

It's common usage, get over it guys and get back to taking photos:) Steep means "hard" or "difficult" to 99% of English speaking people and using graphs or berating us for getting it wrong ain't gonna change nothing. ( Do you like the use of a double negative there!? Ha-ha :))

I'm sure we're all wrong but we'll be wrong together.
