I loved the Olympics from London and I'm certainly looking forward to the Winter Olympics.
Perhaps it's the coverage that you get with all the adverts that put's you off?
You might be able to access the BBC coverage which, of course, will have no commercial breaks and will have expert commentators.

It's common usage, get over it guys and get back to taking photos:) Steep means "hard" or "difficult" to 99% of English speaking people and using graphs or berating us for getting it wrong ain't gonna change nothing. ( Do you like the use of a double negative there!? Ha-ha :))
If you like an image seen here and want to print it out and hang it on your wall, go for it. So long as you don't try and sell it:)
I don't care what the graphs say, steep is hard and I, like the rest of the world will carry on using "Steep learning curve" in that context :)
