Try lensrentals.com. They are great folks and a pleasure to do business with. They are located in Cordova, TN and I have rented lenses from them three times during the last 6 months. Great pricing, super service and the equipment they send you is top notch. Good luck!

I was in your shoes about 3 years ago and the first thing I did was go to Amazon/Books and searched for my camera model. I purchased a couple based on the reviews and how the book would best suit my needs.

Next, back to Amazon again to learn about techniques, exposure, composistion to learn how to capture the shots I was after.

Now I am into learning Post Processing.

Also, don't be afraid to try some DVDs (video learning really helped me capture what the books were trying to say). Guess that is why we had to read the textbook prior to the lecture when we were in school.

Good luck and enjoy

Just like the first day you got your camera. Turn it on, set it to M and firew away! You will loearn a ton and have a ball to boot. Start without a flash so you can get the hang of the meter and how the aperture, shutter speed and ISO settings affect the exposure outcome. Evaluate your results using the histogram.

As you get t grip on the above, start analizing where you want the aperture to fall to provide desired DOF. Next I try to match my shutter speed limits to match my subject. Last, I adjust the ISO if needed to get correct exposure.

Practice this until you can make all of these changes without removing the camera from your eye!! At that point, you have got it down to a tee. Good luck
