I myself and a friend of mine have the same camera/lens as you have. My friend loves his side kick, I have the Wimberley WH-200 that I keep on a dedicated tripod, this way I never have to change the head on a tripod.

You have spent a lot of $$ for your D850, L-Bracket, and your lens. Your complaining on the cost of a good RRS ball head. I hope you do not have a inexpensive tripod. You can find a RRS BH55 on eBay for less then buying the ball head from B&H or Adorama. The BH55 is superb, you will not regret purchasing it.

You made a good choice. I have a number of Tamron G2 and Nikon lenses. Tamron has come a long way, their G2 lens are top notch. Years ago in the film days, I have used Tokina lens which were great. I have had problems with Sigma lens, which I will never again purchase. It's Tamron and Nikon for me. I've been a professional photographer for over 40 year.

You can purchase the Nikon wipes from Costco, a box of 200. I do not remember the price.

You will not have a problem dealing with either B&H or Adorama, but I would not go with buying Gray market.

One other thing, I live in WA state and B&H and Adorama are now including sales tax. So you can just make your purchase with our local camera store, this will also help them stay in business.

Let me start off with, you do not want to purchase a Macro Lens anything less than 90 mm. Good luck in your decision.

First off were you using AI as a stand alone or in Studio? If you are looking for AI it studio, you will find it in the panel on the right, click on "Adjustments" then you should see AI in the new panel. By the way my AI is working just fine.

Prices should not be any different from the store or a warehouse like B&H, Adarmoa, and Amazon. The only difference is you may save on sales tax, but that is also changing. By the way I have found Amazon prices higher in some incidents.

I use the Canon Pixma Pro 10, and I love it. Epson printers have a problem with it plugging up. I never had this issue with the Canon.

I own the Nikon Focus book. I have found it to be the best dammed book about this subject, bar none. Although I've been a photographer for over 50 years, I learned things. I loved the presentation, the flow and the in-depth yet completely understandable explanation of modern Nikon focusing systems along with their multiple variants. I am thinking about the exposure system book but I am already fairly knowledgeable in that subject due to my experience. I'm sure that if I decide to buy a copy that I will learn something.

I also have Steve's eBooks, you will not be disappointed. You can down load them and save them to a laptop or tablet and can be used any time and you will not need the internet.

Looks like it’s time to upgrade to Adobe CC. I was against it for a wile, but I finally made the change. Life is so much better.
