As a geek always looking for something better I’m offering my thoughts on what I’ve tried and am open to new suggestions.
INVISIBLE GLASS WIPES: I’ve always loved their products for detailing auto glass and mirrors. Very disappointed as they left visible streaks.
KODAK CLEANING PAPER AND FLUID: Used to be my go to stuff. Did a good job, but I don’t know if it’s even still available.
PORTER’S CLEANING PAPERAND FLUID: I think it was made by KIDSK but was a bit less money as a store brand.
ZEISS OPTICAL WIPES: This was my next go to product. Did an excellent job, but was a bit speedy.
NIKON OPTICAL WIPES: So far the best I’ve found, and oddly the least expensive.
I have a box of the Nikon optical wipes. I haven't compared them to others.
I use the Zeiss Optical Wipes. I find that after initial wipe (with moist wipe) I let the wipe dry slightly and finish up with a light wipe and no streaks visible. I like the fact that the wipe is not too dry. Prior to wipe I use a soft brush to knock off any dust.

Zeiss Optical wipes 100 wipes for $5.00 at WalMart. Work well (on glasses too) and can't beat the price.

I think we have a winner!
I have been using the Zeus’s wipes without any problems. Will have to try the Nikon brand
I believe the Zeiss and Nikon wipes are actually the same product. I doubt that either company actually manufactures tissues. I use both and buy whatever I come across first when I'm running low. Over many years I've tried a number of products but like these the best. The fact that they are disposable is a big plus as you never transfer dirt from the cloth to the lens.

I’ve wondered about that.
We buy them on AMAZON by the 200 box, and they are within pennies per box.
My guess is each has a proprietary formula. The ZEISS stays wet a tad longer, the NIKON dries on the filter a bit quicker. Neither has a streak issue.
With two eyeglass wearers they go quickly.

I never noticed that, but I don't use them often enough to compare.
Thanks

ROR - Residual Oil Remover & Q-tips. Moisten Q-tip and go. Small bottle will last forever.
You can purchase the Nikon wipes from Costco, a box of 200. I do not remember the price.

The differences are very slight, possibly even production line irregularities.
