I post this for those who encounter such an issue in the future.

After a day of photographing an annual family reunion and some historic sites, imagine my horror when the CF card was unreadable. It was a perfect storm - the final photo that filled the card was being saved as the camera battery drained, leaving the card without an updated directory.

Fortunately, I was able to recover the images on the card by:
1) Not making any changes to the card,
2) Downloading a recovery program for my MacBook Pro,
3) Running the program that recognized the card reader and, following its few steps, recovered all photos to a file on my computer's hard drive.
4) Breathing a sigh of relief.

I really feel bad this morning..

I got up, drank a little cup or two of Coffee, ate my breakfast, put on my Camo Clothing, loaded up my AR-15 and headed out to help quell the uprisings..

SHUCKS, there wasn't an upriser in the neighborhood.... I walked down to city hall.... hummmmmm The Mayor was there, all the clerks were there, the policemen were there or on patrol, the Ambulance crew was alert and ready if needed, the firemen were polishing the trucks................SIGH

Back to the house to read all of this wonderful wonderful stuff we get on here each day..
