I don't know if I am in the correct section but I'm learning my new camera (Canon EOS 600D) so I thought I would ask for some feedback if you don't mind. Flowers are not really my thing but I thought I better start with something.
Comments please, good or bad, I'm here to learn. Thankyou

Well, I guess that is how the car trunk got its name! Looking at the wheels I think your vehicle is a custom hotrod, but very nicely done. Curiously, in Great Britain they call the trunk the "boot". I wonder if old cars once had a couple of boots stuck on the back? Anyone know the origin?

And the hood is called a bonnet in GB.
As Winston Churchill once said, "America and Britain are two countries separated by a common language."

We call the truck a boot & the hood a bonnet as well.

Hi mullumby - I'm going to try this afternoon. Hope that I get lucky! In the meantime here is a photo of a noisy miner preening itself.

Hope you do Shaka. Here's another noisy miner. Two Rainbow Lorikeets and three kookaburras. It was busy in my backyard this morning.

On ya Pam, love the cooka's

My favorite Gator, Jack, lives around the dock. He thinks the whole area is his territory. There are quite a few other Gators that come around but as soon as they see Jack they leave. There is one particular Gator that would like to run Jack off. He seems to be challenging him. His name is Boomer [ named by fstop22's daughter ]. As soon as Boomer comes around, Jack goes underwater and surfaces near him and the fight is on. This happens several times a day. They haven't really hurt each other bad-they are pretty much the same size, 7 1/2-8 ft. When Jack runs Boomer off, he swims back to the dock all proud of himself. He is a sport to watch. He likes jumping and frolicking. Sometimes I just about forget that he is a dangerous animal and I just want to rub his cute little belly.
