Wake up folks. The OP is obviously NOT using 110 film. It wasnt made in BW and there was never a 110 back (ROTFLMFA) for Hasselblad.

The OP has 6x6 rollfilm BW negs. No wahala.

Faster than scanning, 6x6 negs can also be digitized using a camera and light box. The copy lens doesnt even need to reach 1:1, or even half of that. Using an APSC camera the lens need only reach 1:4.

I used 620 in my Blad.

I shoot my Hasselblad occasionally with B&W 110 film. I develop the film myself and want to scan it for post processing high quality JPEG images. Most of the film scanners I was able to find online are limited to 35mm film. The only film scanner for 110 film I was able to get information on is the Kodak 7" Digital Film Scanner. Ratings for ease of use are very high, and quality ratings are mixed. However, the ratings are mixed because they seem to conflate scanner quality with editing features. I don't care about the scanner's editing features because I will use my post-processing software to convert the negatives to positives and then edit them. Any comments on the Kodak film scanners from UHH participants that have used it? Alternatively, does anyone have specific experience with other scanners you would recommend? Thanks to all!

Epson make great flatbed scanners for all sized up to 10X12' and you can make a wet film holder for larger sizes easily. The wet film holder supplied works great but there is a learning curve. Don't use mine as much as I once did but your post inspired me to get tit warmed up. BTW the new ones have LED lighting which is better that the halogen one I have. If you need assistance just write. Cheers and good luck.

USB-C is just a connector. The (not) fun starts when you realize that there are different LEVELS of USB-C cables that are required for certain devices. Using the wrong one can ruin your day.

Thunderbolt 4/USB4 cables with USB-C on both ends work with all current device standards. They're expensive, though!

Thunderbolt 3/USB4 cables work with everything but Thunderbolt 4. About the same price or a little less than TB4/USB4...

USB 3.2 cables with USB-C on both ends don't do USB4 or Thunderbolt 3 or 4. Much more affordable if you don't need more than 10 Mbps.

USB-C CHARGING cables don't move data, or move data so slowly you might as well not use them.

…and I've only scratched the surface.

If you have USB-C cables, MARK THEM so you know their purpose. It's very easy to limit the performance of an SSD by using the wrong cable. Just using a USB-A to USB-C adapter with an SSD and a USB 3.2 cable can cut its top speed in half.

I have been accused of not knowing what I am talking about, and this may be just that. I still use SCSI on some devices and Firewire 600/800 on others. No, not to be different, I believe in using what I have. I pride myself on having a great sense of humor.

Nope, you are misinformed, or do not understand how raw works. Dirtfarmer is right.

They is a jpeg embedded inside the raw file. That is what you see when opening a raw file, IF you have a viewer/program that will view it. Not all programs will open a raw file to view the embedded jpeg. You can not "post", as upload to a site, a raw file on the Internet. No one at this time has the capability to use a raw file. What you can do is, if you have an editing program or viewer, is open the raw file and save what you are viewing, which is the embedded jpg, them upload that file. Places, like UHH, have a list of file type you can upload.

I've never seen a place where you can upload a raw file for use on their end. Enlighten is if you do.

Also, the is no such cables as you mention. When you download from your camera to you computer, you are downloading the raw file. Now, if you shot raw plus jpeg, both will download if you select both. If you have such cables, show us a link that describes them.

By 'show us', I mean demonstrate how it's done. Screenshots would be helpful, and in addition, demonstrate how the resulting image differs from the camera-produced jpeg.

(Also let us know what platform you're using: Windows or Mac).

OK, the labs are closer waiting for commencement to be over this weekend. I think you are using a RAW to Jpeg cable or you might just have a RAW to B&W cable installed. Make sure you are using a RAW to RAW cable connecting your camera to your download device, ie, card reader/computer.

The only thing that might show you (depending on the browser) is the embedded preview, which is the same as the camera-produced jpeg, processed by the camera using the settings you have provided.

Sorry you're wrong.

My desktop computers have firewire. Newer computers don't have them any more.

Yes but they still work. Some of my studio cameras are firewire 600, I adapt to FW800 then to USB-A., still using all the old 35 foot cables and not noticeable delay between the time of capture till they pop up on the screen, do have Teather Tools 15 footers in use also but fould them to be too short and I'm constantly pulling the computer. Comments?

How do you post a raw photo from the camera without postprocessing?

Directly to your browser.

When I got this Galaxy Fit 3 watch, I mentioned that the magnetic charging cable has a USB-C fitting on the end. I ordered a pair of USB-C chargers for it. Today, I saw that I could have ordered a pair of USB-Type A charging cables for less money. I didn't like the idea of having just one cable to charge the phone, so now I have three. Where is standardization when you need it?

I hope this doesn't become a new trend - USB-C charging cables.

Firewire.
