Just laid down 600.00 canadian for a deposit for the new eos r full frame mirroless camera. Should be here in 10 days they say! I sold my 5dMk III on ebay and feel like a kid waiting for christmas to arrive. Does anyone have any opinions on this camera?

I would adjust my depth of field f8-f11 and make sure you are in spot focus and not average focus. Budda Bing. Focus on the eyes too.

Yes

You can use the 2x coupler with the 2.8 and have yourself a 400mm in a split second. The coupler doesn't work with the 4.6 lense (No metering)

As well the optics are subtly clearer. I have had both.
Your decision on image stabilization will be more important

Yes you are right, Canon owners only wish the sensors were APS-C made by Sony.

APC You say. Caveman technology. APS-H and full frame are the only way canon people need to go.

If you do the math CC isn't that expensive. Annual cost is $240 based on monthly cost of $19.99 with I believe a 2 year commitment. I paid $300 for CS6 Extended Student/Teacher edition, which I don't qualify for any more. Now if I were to buy it the price would be $800. If you buy the new version every 2 years you are way ahead of the game using CC.

That said, PSP doesn't hold a candle to PS CC or PS CS6.

Well here in Canada its 29.95 US or about 30.00 Canadian and that's a little much as far as Im concerned.

Depending on the level of post-processing you do, you might look at DxO Optics Pro - I've been using it for about a year now and it meets all my admittedly low-to-mid level needs. It doesn't support layers and have all the fancy bells and whistles of a Photoshop, but then again, you can learn it without the need of a 600-page manual. It is very good at fixing lens/camera aberration, geometry and other arcane problems as well.

Thanks but not an option. I know how to use photoshop

your 300mm is good for most pictures. there area lot on minolta lens out there which will fit your camera. I use a Tokina 100-300
f4 lens with a 2x multipler and get great shots

That looks more like a flicker to me

I suspect those of you who are serious about your craft have now discovered the geniuses at adobe won't ship free standing Photoshop programs anymore. It appears you have to sign up for an outrages amount of money EACH month on their eponomously named CLOUD program to use CS-6. I crashed my computer and have to find a new photo editing software. Have any of you used Corel? and if so, how does it stand up to Photoshop CS-6

This is a tough nut to crack. I have been on several stock sites for several years. I stock bigstock fotolia, dreamstime, stockfresh, yay, and deposit to name a few. I have close to 1000 in circulation. I shoot antiques, still life's and nature shots. I have also won awards with some of my shots and still I get as many rejections as I get acceptances. The trouble is that there are so many ametures with digital cameras in their hands today the the competition to get your stuff, first accepted, and secondly sold is emmense. The sites are clogged. I range from 10.00 per month to a high of 1000.00 in one month. But it is no longer a photographers panacea. Your technique and your equipment has to be first class now as it should be. So if you think you can get on to a site with a couple of weekend snaps with your Nikon or canon bridge camera, for get about it. Even the seasoned pros are have a rough time making it now. With well trained young photographers leaving top photography schools after four or five years of intensive training you better be as good as them.
