So I'm ready to buy. Have only about a $500 limit, but could possibly go as high as $1000. Obviously wanting the "best bang for the buck". The goal is a mobile(laptop) for photo editing. What are the specs I need to worry about? Faster processor, more memory, but what else? the HD(s) I can go with externals, the screen I can interface with my new 32" Samsung. Coming to the "Hog"...what do I look for?

Local Ice_Carving Competition. 12' room made up of 300 & 600 lb blocks of ice. Fire built inside of pallets soaked in kerosene. Lit ablaze after sunset. Center of photo is looking thru the hole created by the melted ice. The outside perimeter of the photo is all ice, backlit from the fire.

On a photographic local history "kick" as of late. My local town. Who holds copywrite on historical photos?. 50/100/150+ years old? Doesn't copywrite "end" upon a photographer's death? Unless given to his/her heirs. Photo taken in 1904 and in archives of a local college library. Intended for informative value only, not financial or personal gain.

So...I have a young daydreaming friend with an active imagination...lol. A young lad, with big hopes & dreams for that someday. He asked me to do some creative editing for him, and I told him I lack the skills for what he wants, but know some people who might help him out. Ergo...I bring to you now. Due to photo elements, I'm not so sure how they can be manipulated to work, but if you would please, give it your best "shot".

Sorry...never got back sooner. In & Out of the hospital again. Facing knee-surgery soon as red-tape is cut. Got some better photos and changed "direction". Thanks again.
