Your first guess is correct. Nice set of images.
Thanks, Bozsik. I have shot Greens before and they are all MUCH greener. I wonder if this is seasonal or juvenile plumage. He looks so much different from previous greens. Any thoughts?
At first, I thought it was a Green Heron. But, he is much too brown and has a black crown. The only other pic in Sibley's that comes close is the Black-crowned Night Heron. Help requested.

Clever!! I like it and agree, Shutter.

Well, at least many of us are in the same boat ... just not the right one.
I am a practicing Roman Catholic who is finding it extremely difficult to tolerate the lies and falsehoods perpetrated daily by our Muslim Predisent.
Sunny, you may not be an engineer.......but you sure make one helluva lot'a sense.

Wow!! The old boy had it in for somebody!!
How is this attachment set-up any less secure than that of the strap supplied with the camera? It is fed thru the camera lug and back on itself thru a tri-glide just like the factory strap. On this model, there is no swivel....there is no carabiner...there are no metal parts to make noise, wear, separate, scratch any part of the camera, add weight to the assembly, etc. This model does not boast a quick release. For those who desire a quick release, the Generation 3 model offers an alternative attachment that is weight tested to 60 pounds for a few extra dollars. But, the cost of the one piece is so comparatively reasonble that it just about allows you to buy a second one to have available for use on another camera.
Again, I am neither affiliated with, an owner of, a relative of, a brother in law of nor am I an employee of this manufacturer. I just like the products and, having read about the security issue til I am blue in the face, this was my choice. For what it's worth. And like I said above, everyone has to make his/her own decision.

I have a place in Hot Springs Village on Montez Lane. I love the place but dont get up there enough! Who needs roller coasters when you live in the village! I also have a 5 acre lot on the side of a mountain in Holiday Island which is fabulous as it is close to Eureka Springs and has a 800 mile perimeter lake. Residents only gated community!
Heaven on earth.

Been to London and loved it, Ian. Not familiar with Hastings or its whereabouts. I would love to visit Cornwall.....especially Port Isaac. Might run into Doc Martin or, better yet, Louisa!!

Man, does that every sound nice. We have a friend who makes a run up to Eureka Springs at least once a year........and it sounds gorgeous!! My brother used to spend time round there every year. I am going one of these days.

Thanks so much haha. Incidently I worked with a company who were based in Metarie and I loved it as it was a stones throw away from my idea of heaven, The Preservation Hall on St. peters street in NoLo! I could spend the rest of my life in that place!

Well Ian, glad you enjoyed your time here. You can have fun at the Hall and places nearby.

I know!! I have a friend who lives up in Mississippi and he says the deer eat the entire subdivision out of blooms. Residents can't stop'em!!

You don't need a deer call - just plant some new flowers from the nursery and they will be right over.
Best if they are in bloom, Harvey!!
