AI is not our friend. Manipulating photos is nothing new, but AI has brought deceit to a new level. It's faster, and it's more convincing. Unfortunately, we've gotten to the point where we can't believe what we see or hear. Since I don't subscribe to NewScientist, I can't read the entire article, but you get the idea. If we can believe what we see and hear, we are going in a bad direction.

Deepfakes are out of control – is it too late to stop them?
AI-manipulated audio clips, images and videos have been used to harass people, scam money and influence elections, despite efforts to rein them in.

Academic research is increasingly anthropomorphising technology – a trend that could mislead the public about how powerful artificial intelligence and other cutting-edge developments really are.
Myra Cheng and her colleagues at Stanford University, California, analysed the content of more than 655,000 academic publications released between May 2007 and September 2023, along with the headlines of approximately 14,000 news articles citing some of those papers. They rated the extent to which each text used human pronouns such as “he” and “she” rather than “it”, as well…

I’ve read where with AI we are all at the mercy of the programmers and their ideas of reality, no matter what your belief.

I think you got me confused for yourself, which is really odd and quite disturbing. It’s you climate cultists, that always repeating the same garbage about how fast the Earth is warming and claiming it’s due to human activities. You guys can keep your story straight first it was g****l c*****g then it was g****l w*****g then it was c*****e c****e now it’s the rate at which the climate is warming. When one conspiracy doesn’t work, they’ll change it to another conspiracy.

Correct, some people don't know the difference between weather and climate. I'm sure experts do. I tend to listen to experts.

Have you also noticed that the climate cultist will claim that when there's high temperature records in the summertime that it's called c*****e c****e but when there's low record temperatures in the winter it's just weather?

Is everything okay with that picture?

The driver side wiper arm looks to be about an inch, or maybe a tad longer, with some odd something or other a little higher up on that side front glass.

What is the flap, or whatever, sticking up a bit at the top rear?

Where are the seat backs for the front seats?

IF that was a REAL model of some kind, was it a European model of a predecessor to the VW station wagon?

I know nothing about the photo, but it looks to maybe be a pre seatbelt model? The flap is something on the back wall. Your guess is as good as mine.

"The increase population of the world is accelerating our Extinction"? That's weird, you just claimed that we have population growth at the time the world is supposedly warming up due to human activity. So if the warming of the globe is causing the Extinction of humans, than why is the growth of the population accelerating as the world is warming up? You do realize that more people die from extreme cold weather than extreme hot weather right? Not only that, as the world is supposedly warming up the Earth is getting greener. There's also no real pushback on science when it comes to this issue, it's a pushback on the g****l w*****g cultist religion being pushed down our throats.

Wrong, that is what you get when government decides what’s best for the population.

This is a perfect example of an industry not ready for prime time. The government is dangling carrots by using tax payers money to entice sales of buses for mass t***sit that have not been perfected for such use.
Instead of rushing into an alternative energy, that is clearly not going to be sufficient, why not take time to prefect a sensible alternative to f****l f**l and not rape our citizens with outrageous fuel prices while doing so.

I'm with Klickitatdave, specifically his comments: "On the other hand CEOs of corporations that contribute to the deterioration of the global environment are getting richer every year...Sad to say this does not bode well for the future of humankind."

With the pushback against science, the constant referencing of global weather history - which doesn't take into account that we are now more than eight billion humans - and the willingness of humans to soil our planet in pursuit of money and power, I've concluded that as a species, we are accelerating our own extinction.
