I hope you can stop by. It will be great seeing you again.
It would be great to see you again as well. I think the closest I may get to being out of the office on those two days will be a visit or two to the store (maybe, if I'm lucky :)
I hope you and yours are all doing well.
All the best.

Here's a CRAZY idea! Let's set up a time and place for UHHers to meet. Something like Nikon booth at noon, or whatever. I am recovering from surgery and HOPE to be able to go.
Now that is an excellent idea! Wish I could join you folks there. I'm sure a good 'ol time will be had by all!

P.S. I would really enjoy visiting the B&H store again, as I did in the past, however I would not feel comfortable walking out with $1300 worth of merchandise in a B&H bag, and then have to walk to Penn Station to get my NJ Transit Train. Unfortunately, this is the world we currently live in.
Gene,
I know what you mean as I too take NJ Transit at Penn Station. An unsettling experience is an understatement. If you end up making your purchase at B&H and it's a day that I work from the office, it will be my pleasure to supply you with a "camouflage" bag to hide your B&H purchase :). And if you have the time, I can give you a little tour of our extensive facilities.
All the best.

Good article Hershel with a equally interesting set of comments. I’ve had a Celestron Ultima80 that I purchased about 8 years ago. It was only used sparingly due to heat distortion. A couple weeks ago, I decided to try it to a get better look at a couple eagles and was smitten. It didn’t hurt that I “accidentally” got a decent shot from simply placing my phone against the eyecup and taking a shot. However, as expected, with an inexpensive scope, I’m getting some nasty color fringing at high zooms. So…I’m shopping. I seem to be drifting toward the Celestron Regal M2 65 or 80mm “or” a Vortex Viper with the same objective size. Any thoughts on other scopes at the same price point I should be considering? And then there’s digiscoping…. the Celestrons make it easier IMHO with easily attachable T-mount adapters, but I don’t want that to be the principal reason to choose a scope. Anyway, your thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

Glad you liked the article. I can't pretend I know much about specialized optics as I'm more of a camera enthusiast myself. I would strongly suggest calling our main number and ask to talk to one of our optics experts or do a Live or Video chat with them as they live and breathe this stuff and love talking about the hundreds of different optics we stock and sell. I remember on two separate occasions asking them to explain MOA and Eye Relief to me and each time it took me 20 minutes to extricate myself politely from the conversation. They love what they do!
All the best.

Welcome, and thanks for posting the link. Glad you liked Optic West. These types of productions which are quite expensive to mount as you can well imagine is just one of the many ways we give back to our customers and show our appreciation for their loyalty.
Stay well.
