Can some one please help me? I purchased my camera a Funifilm Finepix HS 20 EXR. In trying to complete this lesson I noticed two pictures I took using with the same ISO, SS & F5 but they look different???? both were taken with a tripod set at F5 1/800 and ISO of 800. Does this mean there is something wrong with my camera?
confused!!!!
F5 1/800, ISO 800 DR 400
F5 1/800, ISO 800 DR 400
I have a FUJIFILM FINEPIX HS 20 EXR
Moved aperture setting to f4.5 the lowest
Movee aperture setting to the highest it will go F8
Moved aperture setting to F6.4 ISO 400
F4.5, 1/320, ISO 400
F8, 1/160, ISO 400
F6.4 ISO 400
OK I think I got it now.

I am using a FUJIJILM Finepix HS20 EXR
Sorry I forgot to include that.
jeep_daddy responded to my inquiry and mentioned that I need to use "A" to shoot the pics in. I was using manual. I'm gonna try again.
Are you using aperture priority?
I'm not sure what aperture priority is? I used manual when I took these pictures and changed the "Apture to F3.6, F 8 or F11" the went back to Manual and took the picture. and later found that if I left the setting on "A" it took better pictures.
F 3.6, 1/8 s 16:9N, it also showed 400
F 8, 1/1.6 S 16:9N, it also showed 400
F11, 1.3, S 16:9N, it also showed 400
My pictures all seem to look the same????
Rockin What you Got The UHH new weekly photo lesson / challenge.
I am still working on this challenge but I seem to be taking better pictures when I forget to take the camera off "A". What's up with that????
Be gentle with me!!!! I'm thinking on keeping the setting on "A"?????
That's ME!!!! I'm doing another photo shoot with my granddaughter this weekend. I found a professional photographer online who creates paper gowns for her models. I know I'm over my head in this but I have a guinea pig, a vision and a dream LOL LOL LOL
Check out her website.

I too have recently got off the auto setting. I have found an online photography course with Kenneth Schultz. He delivers the course through an e-mail. I saved the link of the course in my favorites. This was you can go back to each segment that you want to research. He's s easy to understand. He also has an advanced course, but I'm still working on this course.

Help please!!!! I am looking for a portable light source that doesn't cost a bundle. What I really want is a power source that I can take to plug my lighting system into. I want to take photos in the country, I won't be close to my vehicle.
I've been looking but some of the reviews aren't good. I really don't need the jump start for my car, as that seems to be what I've found.
Any info would be helpful.
I'm new at this and want to explore everything.
Actually, there is a second question. Do you give away your old equipment? I stopped doing this as the recipients universally did not use it. They stashed it and forgot it.
Like most things in life, one needs desire and strife to attain a goal.
If that goal is to be a photographer, one needs to work for it.
As I have returned to film, I have bought new examples of cameras I gave away. Not quite the same.[/quote]
I agree totally!!!! I never lend anything I want to keep. Learned the hard way. I have been known to GIVE something away "if I really don't want it" rathan tan lend sonething. When you lend something you don't always get all the pieces back.
I sent you a private message. I don't think I'm supposed to show private links here. Not sure.
No need for the lighting info. I finally found a continuous lighting kit that includes 2 - 7ft stands w/bulbs and umbrellas and also 2 - small stands w/bulbs and a case for storage!!!! All for under $100
I am a new, newbee and would like to get into off camera lighting. I have a Fujifilm HS 20 EXR and found that an off camera flash will cost over $100. I am looking for help to create off camera lighting using a Halogen or Florescent work stand light. I plan to use an umbrella to diffuse the light. Also what type of watt for the bulb.
