I went to Norway last October, great trip. Did Tromso, Oslo and a Oslo to Bergen to Oslo tour.. I use canon but just took a 24 - 105 and a 16 -35 lens and was all i needed and a tripod only used on northern lights tour, most companies you can rent one. Northern lights didn't show up till after midnight so plan on spending a long night up. I lucked out and hit a stretch of beautiful weather and got by with short sleeves. did have a mid weight jacket
but never needed it even at night. all are great walking towns.

Looked at the moon phase and it will be 60 percent at that time so it may hinder in getting a good shot of the Milky Way still being so bright

I used Adventurous Antelope Canyon Tours. did the photo tour of 3 canyons. There the only ones that go into Owl. Rattlesnake and Mountain Sheep Canyons. as well as Antelope they are a little bit expensive but was worth it . small group and have the other canyons to yourself. They also do a night tour. just kept a 24- 105 lens on the camera, too much dust and dirt flying around to change lens

I was in Tromso Norway in Oct. all my shots of the Northern Lights were F2.8, iso between 800 and 1600 from 2 sec up to 8 sec. and with 16-35 MM lens. and tripod and cable release. a bright full moon so lit up the landscape pretty good. only thing had to wait till midnight for them to show up. most came out pretty good. was with a photography tour but also other people. used a canon mk111

Beautiful, I just got back from Tromso, Norway last week and took a tour. was a great evening for the lights and a amazing show
