I was in Joplin, Mo today getting some denture work done at DDS, turns out I would have a couple hours between visits...what to do? Easy, go to an old favorite, Grand Falls on Shoal creek. No one there would notice a guy without teeth, sounded safe to me.
Right away I see this gentleman fishing, would probably make a good picture. So I went up to him, said 'Hi, my name is Kent...I would like to take a picture of a guy fishing at Grand Falls, would you be that guy?' He didn't even seem to notice my no teeth dilemma, said he be glad for me to take his picture. So I took pictures...
Then this really cute red headed girl shows up and sits on a rock near the water just on past me. Right away I knew I wanted a pic and to get that pic I was going to have to talk to her. Not good. I'm really being torn, want the pic but embarrassed by no teeth, doubly so because she was so pretty.
I didn't spend too much time thinking though, it was really a no brainer, huh. I walked over to her, said 'uh, Hi...my name is Kent and I like taking pictures of pretty girls sitting on rocks by big waterfalls'. It worked. She smiled and said sure, she wouldn't mind at all. So I took pictures...

Saw him across the street, lifted my camera in challenge...he accepts and we both take a shot. Come closer he gestures...we did and zoomed in for the final shot. We smiled, turned away back to the direction we were going, not one word was spoken.

That lightning shot was close...the thunder was so intense that I could feel it inside my body.
oh, and my tripod is a nice sturdy aluminium model...perfect huh?
The trailer part alone has 96 tires on the ground. There is also a pusher rig for the back end thats not hooked up right now. This is indeed one of the bigger mother truckers on the road!
5 shot panorama with approx 25% overlap.
