This little guy is determined to grow and bloom above the riffraff.
Wow, this looks just like a pothole on the busiest east-west street in my town. Sometimes I forget but it sure wakes me up. We have a "pothole" hotline but it seems there is no one is there to answer the phone.
I prefer the second shot because the road wants to take me somewwhere.

Steve, I think glorybowers are regarded by some as fallng into the weed category. They are all over the place but not cultivated. I don't think florest can get them reliably.

Very unusual. Do you know if local florists sell them?
Love the one with dark clouds!
We have several volunteer glorybowers in our back yard. Normally this little tree is quite unspectacular, only just sending runners coming up in the lawn. But in the fall it blossums, hence the name "glory", and then it goes to seed. Here is the result, a small, perfectly round blue berry centerted in its bright red blossum. The birds don't eat them, so they stay for a long time.

What do things look like out your window? These reports seems more accurate than anything I have found on the internet so I appreciate your feedback. I am wanting one more fall color shoot for the year and am undecided as to the area. It would appear that color this year is a bit challenging in some areas...I am guessing the heat. But who really knows.
Thanks!
Here's the sight out my window! Most of our trees here in the NW are pines, etc. I'm lucky to have this one staring me right in the face. Another week or so and this will be all gone.
I prefer #1 best, largely because the background is less distracting.
Nothing is as it appears. The "deliciousness" of food in not necessarily in the photography but in the display of "food", and the many substitutes that look like food. It is not as simple as it seems.
This is simply drop-dead gorgeous! A sure wall hanger.
Terry, I have lived in Oregon for many years, and cannot count how many times I have visited the Oregon Coast and did not know a place like this existed. Great picture, especially in Download.
