I'm impressed any time people get a shot of one. I've only seen one in the wild and it was gone by the time I got my camera out. Magnificent animal. Yours looks healthy, I'd assume its out in the daylight to provide for its offspring. Gary

I spotted it about 50 yds. away walking toward me my camera was in my company truck. I got in the truck and took the camera out of the camera bag and stepped out of the truck. That it didn't spook and run off but kept coming and sat down on the other side of the compressor is what made me nervous.

I have a pellet gun. Shoot every one I can.

I used to hunt them with a .22 but in town that wouldn't work. A shotgun is easer to hit them with but they are even louder. Squirrel stew is pretty tasty and I wouldn't hunt it if I don't eat it.

I agree they can be a big pest, I have never had any in my Attic but I know people that have. God luck getting rid of them. Thanks for viewing

I have never seen a squirrel do that. Could be common and I just haven't seen it. Nice captures.

I was working Northeast Texas on a gas compressor I saw a large cat walking toward me along the fence line I grabbed my camera it stopped on the other side of the compressor. This is about 5 miles south of I-20 on US-59 close to Marshall Texas. The photos aren't my best work by far I was pretty nervous, a night predator in the middle of the day.

I have been reading and viewing a loooooooong time (Yrs.). I am retired with a hobby in photography that started with a Kodak Instamatic in the 60's. I bought a 35mm after joining the US Navy 70-74 I serviced on the USS Little Rock CLG-4 & USS Trippe DE-1075. I'm calling myself bluenose (crossed the Arctic Circle) Polliwag (didn't cross the Equator). I used my VA benefits to get an AA in photography and found out taking pictures for a living wasn't for me. I live in Cedar Park, Texas raised in Nebraska & Colorado.
