Lovely picture, lovely story.
I have asked many dumb questions in my long life but through the kindness and patience of strangers I have learned a lot.
Similarly the only dumb photo is the one you don’t take. One can learn a ton from a bad photograph.

Spectacular.
I have dozens of butterfly-on-flower photos but none this crisp or well balanced.
Well done.

Thanks guys. Suspicions confirmed. I will wait for the V.
I love photographing wildlife especially birds. I go out with a buddy birding and photographing . We both have the Sony RX10. Mine is the mark 111 and his is a IV.
His results are mostly better than mine. We are standing side by side aiming at the same subject.
I am in my 80th year so that may have a lot to with it.
Looking into the AF systems the IV uses Phase Detection and the III uses Contrast Detection.
There is an article by jmpeltier.com online that discusses this issue.
So do I have a Mark IV in my future? Or is this much ado about not much.
Thanks,
Dave
Thanks to all of you for your suggestions.
My next call is to the Credit Card Company !
Will also try to The CC APP
I will try calling but I have found they don’t seem to be available for a voice call, but only by texting.
Thanks for reply, much appreciated.
How does one end recurring costs for applications no longer needed?
I am not even sure I ordered some of them. I may have accidentally ordered them or long since forgotten that I did.
These are wonderful wildlife moments that you have captured. Thank you so much.
can you share your technique.Did you use a flash for lighting ?
and your equipment. And settings if possible.
