Very, very nice. How did you get that snowflake?
I shot this with a 55mm macro lens. We came out to Idaho last December, and the weather was so clear, but the temp was 0. In travelleing, we came across scattered fog banks, and within, the hoarfrost was up to 2 inches thick. Using the macro lens, i would just change my position until the sunlight would capture a snowflake. I look forward to working on this again when winter arrives here.

Very nice, but would have liked to download one or two of those to look at the detail, specifically the tree in #2. Thanks for posting the shots.
Sorry about that......i am still learning my way around in here
....all shot in Utah and Idaho.
I shot this a few years ago, when i had just acquired a starblitz 24mm macro lens. Not the greatest lens, but i have enjoyed its macro capabilites. I have not to this day been able to find another copy of this for Nikon, or M42.

The second picture was taken in Spring on the Oregon coast using the same lens.
Many of you may already know this, but i read that one could reverse the front element on the Helios 44 lens, so i thought to give it a try; interseting effect!
Shot these with a Nikkor-O 35mm At 5.6

Welcome to UHH appreciate the journey, glad you joined us. Bummer about your D5100, have you replaced it yet?
Have fun, learn and enjoy the forum.
Don
Hi Don!
Yes, i replaced it with a D300s, which took a while to get used to, and then picked up a D5000. I am also using a Pentax K3
Hello,
I consider myself an amateur photographer, but have loved exploring the various effects of M42 lenses on my DSLR's. I have held an interest in photography for many years, but got back into it with the purchase of a Nikon D5100.....which since got busted on one of my outings....I have enjoyed the various threads here, and look forward to learning from everyone here, and sharing images.
