Some very talented artists.
This image was taken in Harriman State Park, N.Y. It was turned into a gray scale and the mode was then switched to duotone giving it a slight blue cast. It was processed in CS6.
This is Schwabacher Landing at days end.
Good shots. The blurred background is what makes these images really stand out
Early morning sun on El Capitan.
Early morning light on the Tetons. Taken from Pilgrims Creek.
Don't think he was happy when I took his picture.
Yes many selections are difficult to impossible. That being said CS 6 has a number of decent selection tools. The 3 lassos, the magic wand and the quick selection tool. Try different tools for a particular selection to see which works best. Sometimes what works best is to select everything but what you're interested in and then invert the selection.
Lower Yosemite falls. There was very little color so I converted to black and white which I think works better.
I'll be different and say I like #1better. Since the bottom of the shrub in the front is cut off I find it distracting. I think the leaves in the top right of the image give it enough of a frame and are very effective.
The water was not enhanced and no filter was used.
Thats "Many Glacier" in the background or what remains after decades of global warming. The water in the foreground is glacial run off. Comments welcome.
I live in N.J. Visited White Sands and Bosque del Apache several years ago.
