Thanks very much.
Walking around the city at night is my favourite thing to do. Lots of things to do and see here when the Annual Autumn Fair is on. Took this pic on my way to the Fair, hope you like it.
Thank you everyone for the positive feedback. Image was taken with a Nikon D800.
Here's the top of my head.
Starting to get too cold to ride. I took one last shot going through a pass in Switzerland.
Here's a selfie using a Nikon Macro 105 mm 2.8 as a portrait lens. I like the resolution of the picture. However I'm wondering if I would get a better result by using a 70-200 2.8 lens. Do I need to purchase this long (expensive) lens?
While walking my dog I came across the power plant's chimney smoking into the sky. Looks like it's creating some perfect clouds. Hope the resolution looks good enough, only had the iPhone with me.
Nice set. #2 is my favourite.👍
Thank you everyone for the feedback. I'm just wondering if I need a 70-200 lens for portraits. All I hear is that you need one for the compression. Any thoughts?
Photographed a lovely young lady this past weekend. Had to settle for my 105 micro 2.8 Nikon lens (longest lens I own). I think it works just fine for a portrait lens. What do you Hoggers think?
Thanks very much. I'm glad you like them. Still trying to figure out this new lens. It's the Nikon 105mm 2.8G.
Went out to capture the last day of summer here in Switzerland.
I got better when I started to FART.
F...feel that you want to take a photo that is worthy. Bad photographers just take a picture at this point.
A...ask yourself what attracted you. Is it a bold color? Is it a crazy juxtaposition? Is it the wild light? What is it, exactly, that made you want to take a picture?
R...refine. Compose as strongly as you can. Eliminate everything that isn't directly related to the point of the photograph.
T...This is the easy part. Take the picture.
Be sure the exposure and color (WB) are OK, and you're done.
