Since you have both Lightroom and Picasa on your computer now, I would try cataloguing your pictures in Lightroom while you still have Picasa and see if that works for you. If so, loose Picasa.
If you already do most of your work in Lightroom with very little work in CS5, is it worth $150.00 to buy PSE 12 to get maybe 1 or 2 features that you may not even use? Plus you're already familiar with CS5.
If I were in your position, I would drop Picasa, catalog and edit in Lightroom and keep CS5 for my "heavy" stuff.

A G lens does not indicate a full frame (FX) lens. It indicates that there is no aperture ring (G = Gelded")

Sorry to hear your only bilingual; have used at least a dozen different OS's; presently 5 or 6 (Sun OS, AIX, RHEL, Windows, Zos/mainframe, etc..). The poster said that the Mac was "the only way to go" or something to that effect. Like I said before, I AM NOT A MAC BASHER...

Today, there s VERY LITTLE difference between a Mac and a PC (anyone have a 16 core Mac, 3.2GHz, 64 Gigs RAM, crossfire graphics cards, etc). I do, but it runs Windows7 Pro and RH Linux, not OS X.... 4 quad-core Opterons, 8 - 8GB sticks of memory, etc.. Would anyone like to put their Mac up against it as far as graphics and processing speed? Now, I'm not trying to be a "Mac Basher" but you are intimating that a Mac is the only way to go, and the PC is ?????????????????
