Thanks so much for all the information everyone. Regarding shutting my computer down, I had not been-had just been turning it off, but someone else had recently told me to make sure to shut it down, so I have been since then.
Hi. I had that happen too, when I was starting to select something in my photo on Photoshop Elements 14, just before my old(5 years old) Toshiba laptop completely died last week. However, when I looked at my storage information in my computer settings file, it said I had only used about 8 GB of total storage, and had at least 15 GB left. So it was confusing to me that it would say that. I know when I was looking at new laptops it would tell the stats for each of the two types of memory each computer had. I bought a Dell Inspirion 15, 5000 series with 12 GB memory and 1 TB hard drive, and still don't really know what that means exactly. A Salesman at one store had told me what memory and features we're important to use Photoshop.
