I am looking for advice on whether there exists a pocketable camera with a lens starting at 24mm and going on to 200 or 300mm, with a viewfinder (an optional accessory is acceptable) with an aperture of say 2.8-4.0? If such an animal does not exist, advice on a similarly or better specified bridge camera would be welcome.

I've not had much success in finding out the zoom range of this camera. All I get is "5X zoom". To my uninitiated mind this could be from 10mm to 50mm or 1000mm to 5000mm? I'm not very familiar with photography sites, so probably have done less research than I could. However, UHH members have been so consistently helpful that I felt I could put my question out for advice. Thanks in advance.
