I believe they were using an organic air-conditioning technique, which uses less energy. Thanks for looking.

Bank restores stolen funds to 112-year-old Texas man
Associated Press Associated Press Thu, Jul 5 10:31 AM MST

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Bank of America has credited the account of a Texas resident who is believed to be the oldest man in the U.S. after his family reported that thieves had stolen his identity and drained the account.

Richard Overton's family said Social Security and bank account numbers for the 112-year-old Austin man were used to make seven withdrawals over the past several months. The family filed a police report Friday .

Cousin Volma Overton said the family was shocked when the bank asked them to come in and sign for the restored funds. He declined to say how much money was stolen, but said it was a "significant amount."

"Man, I teared up," Volma Overton said. "I couldn't believe it. They made it happen. The executive of the company said he'd take care of this, and he took care of it."

Bank spokeswoman Colleen Haggerty said the bank is investigating and the family said Austin police and federal authorities are also looking into it.

"Everyone wants to get to the bottom of this. I don't think it's going to be long before we know," Volma Overton said.

The money was separate from a 2015 online campaign that raised more than $300,000 to provide for Richard Overton around-the-clock, in-home care. He is the nation's oldest World War II veteran and was at Pearl Harbor just after the Japanese attack.

Very nice, Jim. Really some very nice interpretive photographs.

From a fellow pineapple.

I took a new Sony A6500 with the Zeiss lens to the Prescott 4rth of July Town Fair and shot some editorial stock (thus editorial captioned).

The Sony autofocus locked on much quicker than the full frame Canon's that I usually use. And, it's small form factor and lens was much less intrusive than gear that shouts, "reporter" or "journalist" in a crowd. (My wife and I usually shoot events with 2 full frame bodies for each of us)

This was my first experience with this camera on location in a rapid shoot setting.I was impressed.
It certainly won't replace my full frame gear but I can see it has great value in the right setting.
(My wife shot many of the same pics with a full frame Canon and the silky smooth 135 "L". . of course blew the Sony APSC/Zeiss images out of the water)

I shot jpeg and raw. These are the jpegs with only quick edits in Lightroom that I use for previews.
The sax player and violinist were shot nearly into the sun for background isolation. The Sony did an excellent job with it.

Enjoy
Mahalo,

Bunko T., I have a 58-year-old, 1960 series II 88 petrol. The thought of doing something like this never, and would never, cross my mind. My hat's off to this gentleman for the effort and success, regardless.

I saw this recently & thought to share with others.
Maybe it's a hint of things to come, when oil runs out. The Arabs are already cognisant of that.
We'll be back to steam engines & horse & cart. This guy should take out patents on it now??

Land rovers were only intended for splashing around the mud & slush of England's farms originally. Look how well it's done since.
My mum & dad travelled much of the Australian continent with one. Dad being a basic pragmatic sort of guy wouldn't hear of up grading into something more comfortable, like Landcruiser or Nissan Patrol, he loved the Landrover.
He built & towed a big caravan on some of these journeys. Not much of Aus they haven't seen, thanks to Landy!!

Bob, stay tuned for more, as our storm season is just beginning to start up. Tucson gets a few more storms than the Phoenix area, as you know. I've come to love them, as well. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

You did quite well. Nice tonal range with few, if any, blown out areas. Nice detail in the shadow. Good mid-range presentation, as well.

I would certainly hope they could do something. Nothing like being mandated to having to purchase something and then get bent over and hosed to do so.
--Bob

P.S. I realize the mandate may have been removed, but nothing is controlling the other half of the equation.

I've only photographed the old style tube type tv broadcasts. The only ones I took photos of were the lunar landings. Not great images, but allowed me to be a part of the success.
